I felt a need to do it as well!

my socks and shoes )

I was browsing my local thrift and department store when I looked at the shoe rack and my eyes bugged out of my head.   You know those cute mary janes with two straps and hearts cut out along the edges?  I know a lot of you have them.  I got them for $5 in my size!!  I am so very happy about that!

I strongly suggest everyone visiting http://www.savers.com/whoweare/locator.php and see if we have a store where you are!  There are a bunch in Canada, USA, and Australia!  I always find the best stuff at the best prices.  From what I understand, Savers actually sold a Moi Meme Moite dress about two months before I started working there.  No one knew what it was and they sold it for $4.99.  T-T  Like I said, we get all kinds of stuff.  *Whipes tears.*

Oh yes... I shall post pictures of my shoes when I get pictures and post all of my thrifty finds.

Evening, lolitas!

I've opened up a livejournal and an email address dedicated solely for commissions, queries, archiving, photoshoots and the like. I decided it was time I drew a line between work and my personal journal. I'll be posting from [profile] princess_misa with any responses to commission queries, photoshoots and any updates. Please feel free to friend/check it often. ^_^

Thank you!

I am gonna bitch and warn at the same time. I emailed her first about bigger sizes like 42 and up.

Her response about 3 weeks ago.

hi, i can get shoes in sizes Euro 42 and higher. Would you mind tell your size.^^

Now, I talk to her tonight to clear up the RH debate.

So back to the RH drama,

I first imed her about the shoes just for my own knowledge.

So i asked a few more times pretty much everytime i talked to her. When people got theirs, they turned out to be foam. Tonight I asked her again.

At first, I thought this would of been a great experience and find for us esp those with big feet. I feel like I should pull the shoe esp after what happened to me at night.  But i doubt i will order from her again unless she gets better customer serivce. Just because you dont know english well..I had to kinda type engrish for her. It doesn't make it right for you to lie esp if someone is gonna place such a huge order. IF you guys still want to do the group order, I will since you started paying.

Posting yet again because brown shoes get no love... )

I was checking the memories, and saw that some things in the "Lolita Jewelry" post were gone/sold out. I decided to make a more current list of some things I've found, if anyone's interested. ^^;

lots o' lovely loli-ables )

It's pretty image-heavy; just a warning. Feel free to add your own finds, in the comments!

I was looking through my unused fabric stash (I'm sure many of you have one of these...) and I found this light khaki material. Kind of like a light beige color rather than a brown. It kind of reminded me of this dress (off-white version) that was on my to-sew list:

http://www.marymagdalene.jp/catalog/saihan/alex2006_2.html

with a regular old white short sleeve blouse. I thought I could pull it off better with that look instead of a really sweet lacy look. And for the head I was thinking of this:

http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/head/130808.html

off-center bows with 2 different but matching designs. But I'm out of ideas when it comes to shoes (despite all of the recent inspiration lol), I didn't think my rocking horse shoes would be appropriate for this...maybe black calf-length boots?

Any opinions? Ideas? ^^

I figured I could join in the fun, even though my shoes are just Hot Topic (but very cute and one of my favorite pairs) and I have no idea where I got those socks from. (The dress I made myself.)

After all this talk about shoes and seeing everyone else's, I really want to buy a pair of brand shoes. It's driving me a little crazy though. I usually wear a size 10, but I can dinitely fit into a size 9.5. I measured my foot, but it seems that every conversion chart I look at is different and everyone seems to be saying different things. Does anyone know definitively how to measure and buy brand shoes? I used this tutorial to measure my foot and came up with a 25.5cm measurement (which I thought would be okay for BTSSB shoes in a LL), but I read this entry in the memories that pretty much said I should give up hope. O_o I just want a pair of shoes... any help would be greatly appreciated.

ready to color lolita paperdoll )

I made this paperdoll for a friend, I included the more EGL-centric items of her wardrobe here. Feel free to color and print out and play with it, that's what paper dolls are for. Sorry, she has only one EGL hair style, but you can draw her another if you like.

Does anybody here have this shoes: http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/pirates/102P901.html?

I was wondering what was the max measurments for the ankle.... japanese girls are so thin that i fear my ankles would be too large for them ;__;

I was intending to buy a pair of Montreal shoes until I realized they have ballerina lacings with what appears to be Velcro? If this is the case I'd like something more stable and practical. I selected two other shoe choices from Montreal and would like your opinion if you could, please :)

If anyone knows anything about the shoes, then please volunteer your information! I know that the hearts set was reviewed well, my only worry is that they wouldn't match all my clothes/would be clunky.

The poll is over here.

Thanks for looking everyone!

Hello, everyone! I'm looking for some shoes but unfortunately, there's no shoes my size.

I'm a US size 3 and if I wear a bigger size, the shoes feel like that they're going to fall off.

Does anoyone know where I can get cute loliable shoes my size?

Hi there, I myself( as some of you know) are very much into the "deconstruct" side of lolita( if you need a reference brand H.Naoto some Black Peace Now etc). I have not seen much of this on the boards and am making a shout out to anyone who is on this side of lolita to post some pictures of your outfits here. I hope to see alot of orignial designs too!

Hey, I would make this into a poll but I don't have a plus account. ^_^ I was wondering what people's favorite hair/head accesory/accesories were, and why?

What do you like best... (photos all from BTSSB)
Big bows on hairbands?
[picture]
Headdresses?
[picture]
Bonnets?
[picture]
Little bows on hairclips/slides?
[picture]
Mini hats?
[picture]
Crowns?
[picture]
Something else I haven't mentioned?

Personally I like headresses because they're pretty and can be really fancy and detailed without being huge or too silly looking. ^_^ Also I like little bows on hairclips because they're good for casual wear. :D

I hope I'm not too late to jump on the bandwagon!

Shoes are Bodyline, they are now getting scuffed up from all the wear, but I still love them!... XD
Socks are from BTSSB.

Seeing the post [livejournal.com profile] insomniel reminded me of a paperdoll I made quite a while ago. I'd love to see people make more clothes for her and actually enjoy her. The images have been sitting in a file on my computer for well over a year. Here are the doll bases, modelled like a bjd. My friend who coloured them made three slightly different tones to the skin. Here are the few outfits I made. Only one is really lolita. I hope this post isn't just more clutter...

I've been happily trucking along making gathered skirts for a while now, and I think I'm ready to take on pleats. I'm planning on making a skirt like this one from AppleSugar (I would have ordered it ages ago, except that I can't fit into their clothes T_T).

Would it be appropriate to make this skirt by using pleats? If so, how wide should the skirt panel be - 2.5x waist, like for normal gathered skirts? Also, would it use a trapezoid or rectangle pattern?

Thanking you kindly for your advice,
Sefie

Hooray! I love this theme! I'm in the middle of editing a MASSIVE amount of photos I took during my vacation to San Francisco (where I declared a "Lolita Week" and wore lolita each and every day, which was a BLAST) but until those get done here are some SHOES!

Because you need more shoes on your flist!

Sadly I can't wear ruffled socks (they make my legs look really funny o.O) but I'm a big fan of tights and cable knit knee socks.

I know everyone hates post about rocking horse shoes, but I have yet to see this one ask, how long are the ties on most rocking horse shoes, i have rather large calves and I don't want to buy a pair only to see that they wont close over my legs, thank you for any help
[identity profile] accela.livejournal.com
who's tired of seeing shoes? me me me! ;D

but i ca't be such a big advocate for themes and then be a big hypocrite and not participate -o-

i'm halfway through moving, so i have a bunch of shoes (and background scenery ;p) all in boxes, so you get a couple select few [forgive me wearing the exact same meta skirt in all the pics]:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

and a couple more pairs )

this looks pretty good!! i should try some PANKU style =3= even though i am not remotely punk in any way.

how's that for an upcoming theme? the "OPPOSITE DAY" theme, where you dress in a lolita style that isn't at all what you'd normally wear? oh ho~

but dont change the theme before we can post our shoe shopping pics =3=
