Dear fellow lolitas,
This question has been bugging me for quite some time now... how is the quality of Bodyline's velvet fabric? Does it hold up to their stock pictures? I'm sorta planning on buying the following dress from them (originally a Shinku costume, I know), but I can't find any reviews on it: http://bodyline.co.jp/en/costume768.html

Note: please don't let this become a "This is Cosplay/Ita/all other loli descriptions of awful" debate. I think the dress on its own CAN be worn with lolita, leaving aside the obviously questionable bonnet and the huge velvet bows.
Thanks <3

I've been searching far and wide for a realistic looking blonde wig that I can wear both in lolita and for everyday wear. I want something close to my natural hair colour which is a golden blonde. I've heard a lot of good things about Cyperous but I can't seem to find any pictures of their blonde wigs worn, and I am having trouble deciding which colour would suit me best and look the most realistic.

I'm making myself a tea-length jsk and I am having trouble deciding what petticoat I should buy for it. I want to buy the petticoat first before I make the jsk so I know that it will fit the petti well. All the petticoat reviews I have seen have all been for regular knee-length petticoats, but I am looking for something that will be about mid-calf length (I'm 5'8 so fairly tall as well which doesn't help).

Hello everyloli!

Recently I fell in love with the Japanese shop Abilletage, and especially their lovely tights. am looking to purchase a pair to coordinate with lolita, but I am concerned with fit.

Opinions about fit needed please ^_^ )

There are some items in our wardrobe that take a ridiculous amount of punishment over the months of use they get, and considering the price most lolitas tend to pay for their goods, it had better hold up to it! ...Or so we assume. The one true test of quality and sturdy craftsmanship is time. Did the buttons pop off of your AaTP blouse despite fitting well within posted measurements? Did the shirring go limp in your bodyline jsk after just 6 months? Have your BTSSB shoes fallen apart after one use? Post a 'then and now' image or story of your most well-worn items, and how they've stood up to the test!

Hello everyone!! I'm a newbie lolita (are there any cute terms for this?), and I've broken into the fashion by making my own JSKs, since affording brand will be something I dream of for a long time to come. I have recently ordered my first Krad Lanrete dress, however, and am excitedly waiting for it to arrive!!

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my pride and joy, the Versailles JSK I made for Valentine's Day. I've made one before it (a striped Christmas one), but there are some flaws that I should've noted before finishing the dress. However, my Versailles JSK is something that I am extremely proud of, and would love some feedback to the design!

VERSAILLES )

I'm also working on my own lolita brand (under the name KarmaKatelyn Designs). Does anyone have any advice when it comes down to starting up a brand? I have a few lines in mind to work on over the summer, which I'll debut at SacAnime Summer's Fashion Show.

Thanks everyone for taking a look! I'm excited to be more involved in this group.

Edit:

A big thank you to all those who came to my aid ! I have found the brand label - not on the bodice, not under the shirring, but UNDER the wash and care tab, somewhere along the skirt lining. So I guess the dress is legit after all ! *relief* I feel so dorky now ! To those who may buy second-hand dresses and notice the label missing, do check for the care label and the skirt lining before exploding into anxiousness :)

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if those who have experience with IW or Y!J auction could help me with this ?

I purchased a fairy-tale print (童話柄 JSK) IW dress from Yahoo Auction recently. The auctioneer, said this was a brand new dress from IW. She had pretty stable positive reviews, so I saw no reason for suspicion. But when I received it, I wasn't so sure if it was real. The IW brand label is absent from the inside of the dress, and the materials seems thinner than my other IW dresses'. I have never seen a label-less IW dress...

I was wondering if anyone with the same dress could take a look at these pictures below? Does your dress look like this too? And for those who have more experience with brand dresses - Is it normal for dresses to have missing tabs? Could it be a b-grade item, or something from a lucky pack?

Also, for those who had have experience with Japanese auctions - what is the likelihood of something like this happening, and are there any actions I can take if this is indeed a counterfeit?

Thanks in advance !

Infanta says on their taobao site that they are now accepting overseas orders. Has anyone tried ordering directly from them?

I'm not sure, but I think it might've been put up more recently, since I've never noticed it before (then again, I tend to miss things like these a lot) and a quick search around doesn't shows any results.

If anyone has, I'd love to hear your experience. If not, I was planning on trying to buy from them anyways since I've been eyeing some of their items for quite a while now.

Hello, everyone! :3

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the quality of Infanta's "Cream Cat" JSK? Mostly the "chocolate" brown colored one.

I'm a bit nervous as the stock photos make it look very short and has about 4 different shades of brown in the ribbon. Perhaps this is a sample issue?

Here is a link to the taobao page for it: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1.w4004-4010068416.1.3l114J&id=19151741699

Please help if you can!

Hello, has anyone ever ordered from 4 O'Clock? I am looking into getting a winter coat and would like to the know the quality of the product as well as the experience. I was able to find only one review...Thanks in advance :)

Link to 4 O'Clock on FB: https://www.facebook.com/4oclockbylindafriesen?fref=ts

EDIT: I am debating on whether to get a coat from her or to order one from Fanplusfriend. I have looked up a few reviews for coats from F+F, however I would like to know about their warmth. I live in Canada and as some of you may know, our winters here are quite extreme. So if anyone here has a F+F coat and experiences winters where the temperature drops to below 20 celsius, please tell me about your experience!! And if you could include how many years you've had the coat too, that would be excellent.

I'm think about getting the Classic JSK w/o lining in black from English Charm. But I'm wondering if there are any reviews for their JSK? The only reviews I can find are years old. Well, I did only found one review of a JSK, but it was a custom design, not from their catalog, and not very recent.

My Google-fu's been failing me, so if you guys can find any reviews, or if you own a JSK by English Charm (Classic style or other) and have an opinion, please share it!
