I was wondering if anyone had the black rocking horse shoes (Size small, 22CM) for sale? I notice a lot of people have purchased shoes from Refuse to be Usual and bought sizes that were too small. I'd really like a pair of the black or white ones *^^*

I'm also looking for cute parasols... I'm so sad because Baby is all sold out (I've also checked AP, Meta, VM, MM, etc. etc.) T_T I really wanted a black parasol before next month... any help would be much appreciated ^.^

Did anyone ever notice that the mens and womens clothing of Atelier Boz are very much alike in style. There are several items that they are selling as both mens and womesn clothing. Even several dresses (but apart from one all have been sold out) are listed in both the mens and ladies departement.

Oh how I whish they had stores over here, they have wonderful clothing.....

Hi everyone!! ^^ I'm a new to this community as well as Gothic Lolita (and LJ, too, for that matter ^^). Just a while ago I was reading up on Cosplay Lolita and I have some questions on it ^^.

Well first of all, I'm still actually trying to get a grasp on this Cosplay Lolita concept ^^;;. Eh-heh. When I begin dressing in Gothic Lolita, I want to direct my fashion towards Gothic Lolita, not Cosplay. If I try designing my own dress, how can avoid turning it into Cosplay Lolita? Also, according to the article, Cosplay Loli "ignores the aesthetics" of gothloli and goes to far on lace and frills. Ehh, how exactly do I not "ignore the aesthetics?" ^^;

Also, I was thinking about buying this dress. Actually, I thought this dress looked really nice. Unfortunately, it's from Bodyline, and the feedback I've heard from that company is negative. Is this dress classified as Cosplay Lolita? If so, why? Can it be fixed up with something to look GothLoli? If it helps, I would have accessorized it with a headdress, lace gloves, knee-high stockings with a lace trim, black Mary Janes, and maybe a pearl necklace. Also, I've heard the lace is low quality- how so? As in, really stiff lace or lace that isn't durable? Etc.

^^ I have habit of forgetting things, so I'll add some things if I realize I had left anything out. ^^ Thanks in advance; all help is very much appreciated! <3

I also read this article about cosplay lolita and thought it was very well-written. But I realized something early on in the article: The dress that she illustrated as cosplay lolita was in fact the dress that my boyfriend just ordered for my birthday a little while ago! It was actually the black and white version shown here, just not large size. I know that this dress will not be the same quality as a BABY dress (but neither of us have the money for that~). And I know that it IS a very frilly dress. But it's already ordered and shipping.

That being said, does anybody have tips on how to not look too much like "cosplay lolita"? I would prefer to just have a "gothic lolita" style.

Reviews of the product would also be appreciated.

Hi all. I haven't gotten a hld of any of the goth loli bibles, so I thought I'd ask you lovely ladies and gentlemen.

I'm not sure if anyone else has gone over this already, but what qualifies for goth-loli jewelry? Is it lace? Or just delicate patterns? I ask because I also love antique victorian rings and necklaces and wonder how the rest of the community feels.

To me it seems as though most goth-loli look towards crowns and roses and lace, but what about silver necklaces and the such? Or earrings? Would you say studs or hanging pieces? I'm really curious!

So, it's time to start my 3rd sewing project!

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or even a tutorial on how to make a sailor collar?

Particularly, I'm trying to create something similar to these cute Metamorphose sailor collars...

Sailing, Sailing, Little Lolita! )

Any help would be so appreciated!

Hey,

Can anyone tell me where to go to find some nice lace and ribbons online and in stores near LA, California? I don't really know price range for these things so I'm afraid I'll be ripped off at some places.

Thank you,
Lailah

Hello Lolis,

This plea for help is a little long, so I put it behind a cut so I wouldn't destroy FL's. ^_^

Looking for some craft advice for a little Loli )

Thank you all in advance!

Hi again everyone! ^^ I'd like to say thanks to everyone who replied to my last post, you all helped a whole lot! ^^ After some consideration I've chosen to buy from that "Your mother wouldn't like it" website instead; their merchandise seems nicer and my family doesn't like ordering online overseas anyway. ^^

So now I have a few more queries. ^^;; This time they involve color combos and accessorizing!

Okay, everyone knows about those Tripp corsets that are just so nice, right? With cluny lace and everything? Well... Mine's too LONG for me. Like it digs into my pits and the tops of my thighs, which seems to be a problem for no one else I've met who owns it. Can anyone suggest a way of taking out the poly boning without damaging the bodice?

EDIT: IT IS DONE! You guys are full of awesome. n____n The only thing keeping the boning in place were a couple stitches near the top and bottom, so I popped those and out the bones came (except for the ones in the back, which I left alone because they look rather... crucial and have never bothered me o_O). Thanks a million times over!

I will be in the area arriving on July 18th, leaving on July 27th. I would love it if I could get together with some of you on some day during the first week of the trip.
Please comment if you'd be available any time during that week, and if anyone has suggestions as to what we could do that'd be awesome.

Secondly, on Monday the 24th I'm going to Disneyland and if anyone can't do anything the previous week then I would love it even more if people would like to go to Disneyland (that is, of course, if you have the funds and the transportation).

If ANYONE is interested in one or the other (or even both) please let me know, I'd love to get together with some of you! Hell, I don't even care if it's just one other person.

After all this talk between goth-loli and egl cosplay etc, I'm starting to get a little paranoid. So here's another post about what or what isn't goth-loli.

I have a question. Where did the term cosplay-loli come from? Or refering to an outfit as cosplay-ish with negative connotations.

As both a cosplayer and a loli, the term is really quite impolite. Just like EGL, there are ways of doing cosplay well and not so great. So using cosplay-loli as a term for cheap lace and fabric just doesn't seem very nice to me.

Just curious.
