has anyone bought from electriqueboutique.com? they have a pair of tall lace up "witch" boots on sale for $14.99 in my size and i'm sorely tempted...

is there any rule of thumb for making ruffles to add onto something? something like of the circumference of the item to have the ruffle added is x inches, use about y inches of fabric to make the ruffle?

okies, so there is this magazine called gothic beauty. and this month, or season, i forgot how they do that, they talked about egl! and it comes with cute little black and white pictures and stuff!!!! anyway, you can buy them at hot topic if you are interested.

My first EGL dress!

I finally finished this. It's not very advanced, but it's my first EGL outfit, and I've done all the work on it myself. Well, nearly. The dress is a black dress in something that looks like velvet but isn't, and was bought at a second-hand store for 6$. Then I bought the red ruffle and added it by hand. I paid more for the ruffle than the dress...

...The headpiece was made by leftover ruffle, leftover black fabric from a doll dress I made and some red satin ribbons I got from my mother's work. I'm really fond of it, because it sits perfectly on my head and doesn't fall off, because the ruffle I used is elastic. Handy.

The socks were a gift from my mother and the shoes are my mother's. I need a better pair of shoes for this outfit.

A Fragrance Not Limited toJapan

Hey. I've been experimenting with creating custom fragrances, and I wanted to create a scent that reminded me of Lolitas (who have been appearing more and more in the Chicago area lately, yay!). I know that Japan has a few scents (I remember them from my gothic and lolita bibles), but I bet those are hard to get in the united states, so I thought I'd make one myself.

I'm still very new to this, so I thought I'd ask for input...what kind of scent would be good to use or try to create for my fragrance? A light floral scent? A fruity scent? A wild, unconventional scent? I'm not really sure. Anyway, if you could give me your feedback, I would really appreciate it.

hey everybody, i was looking around at this website, and saw that they ahd such luvely fans and parasols!
the fans are from $9 - $19
and the parasols are from a japanese style $10 to black and white really nice lace ones that are $45.
i'm definately putting one on my list of accessories to buy!
