Hey. I've been experimenting with creating custom fragrances, and I wanted to create a scent that reminded me of Lolitas (who have been appearing more and more in the Chicago area lately, yay!). I know that Japan has a few scents (I remember them from my gothic and lolita bibles), but I bet those are hard to get in the united states, so I thought I'd make one myself.

I'm still very new to this, so I thought I'd ask for input...what kind of scent would be good to use or try to create for my fragrance? A light floral scent? A fruity scent? A wild, unconventional scent? I'm not really sure. Anyway, if you could give me your feedback, I would really appreciate it.

oo.. ^^

hm.. o.o I kind of like the thought of a light floral scent. ^_^ I saw those ads in the bibles too and wondered what they'd smell like~ even maybe the light scent of a rose? ._.;
If you make one, I'd love to smell it. ^^
(and yay for Chicago, I love that city!)

I haven't seen any Lolitas in CHicago!!! In what Chicago areas have you seen them??

Maybe cinnamon for the more sensual scent of a lolita?

Mmmm I agree i think sweet baking type smells like that are nice

the perfumes i wear with loli are either caramel, nutmeg and one that smells like zesty blackberries. I think there really lolita warm, comforting, innocent and light.

Also I think vanilla and earl grey tea would be nice.

I'm gothic lolita who lives in chicago >.>;;;;
You don't hardly see that many gl/egl/ega fans here in chicago unless they go the anime central every year. But I mostly hang out around Belmont sometimes in loli wear, ega or just my normal wear. I don't hardly see any lolitas on Belmont unless they come out at night >.>;;; but anime cons here is where you might see them the most

Mmm, I'm a big fan of Stilla Green tea or Jade blossom/ Very delicate sents with and Asian feel. If you did a honey/green tea or something like that I think it would sum it up pretty well, maybe a bit of vanilla and cherry blossom mixed in. I think a Loli fragrenve would be demure, lovely and not too overpowering. Stay away from violet or lilac, they are very victorian to say, but smell like old ladies...

There is actually Cherry oil! If you can find it, it might be perfect with a dash of sandalwood for the "dark" component or even something like "tonka bean"--botanicas might carry that one. Good luck!

STRAWBERRY!

Strawberry, cloves, and bergamont! (I think I spelled that correctly... the oil that makes Earl Grey tea so yummy.)

Yum yum yum... *heart*

This site (http://www.gothrosary.com/fragrances.stm) has some interesting gothic scents... I've smelled them all, since my friend got a promo sampler... (The sampler might inspire you.) But there's no Loli scent...

Strawberry, cloves, and teeeeeeeeeeea!
