I saw THIS and just had to post it since I know a few of you are as obsessed with these dolls as I am. The bidding on it has ended, and the winner paid over $500 for her!
The MHD Designs website also has some absolutely gorgeous made up Dolfies to drool over too! Now if only I weren't so poor...

I wasn't actually looking to bid on her, and the auction is already ended at any rate, so I didn't look too closely at the terms of the transaction. Had my intent been to provide information about an auction in progress I would have stated that.

i was just wondering what dolfie meant/stood for. ^_^; barbie has a traditional japanese kimono doll that I'm thinking of buying but I really don't like barbie... lol

Takara has produced a number of kimono-attired Jenny dolls..if anime style dolls are your cup of tea. ^^

oic. thx. ^_^ so are the doll figures are like Barbies? w/ actual synthetic hair and a plastic body? i like those vox (?) ones w/ adjustable elbows and knees but i don't possess one b/c they're soo expensive ;_;

The dollfies (not to be confused with Super Dollfies) are like Barbie in some ways, but their purpose is to be customized. They're about 27cm tall, have articulated joints, plastic bodies and vinyl heads. Volks Perfect File (http://www.chocolatepretzel.com/volks) is a great resource for these dolls. There's also the volksdolls community.

Dollfies are a little more expensive than the basic Barbie, in that they go for about US$15 for a body and bald head. But I don't mind paying more because I definitely get more fun out of them. ^_^

i wish i could get them but i'm a lil afraid of dolls ahahha esp. Blythe. one was cute i saw on ebay but didn't win it so ah well.
