I'm terribly sorry if this has been asked a million times before, but I tried to search for shopping guides and could not find much. Looking on the individual brand websites proved very challenging, too.

So, I was wondering if anyone knows of some good shopping places in either Kyoto or Kobe. I'm going to be spending a week in Japan and would love to know if any of the brands have a store location close by (something a silly gaijin like me could locate!)

I mostly prefer sweet lolita, such as BABY, or classic Lolita, like VM, but I'm interested in seeing as much as possible. I'm very excited, of course ^^

SF meetup on August 5th

So, yesterday (Saturday, August 5th) There was a little meetup in San Francisco's Japan Town. We had fun, however it didn't go completely well.

I was the first to arrive at 12:15 and very soon after shirouzu_ko (the organizer) showed up too. A little whyle later three more people showed up and we ended up waiting untill 1:40 (the plan was to all meet by 1:00) When no one else showed up, we went off to lunch ecpecting that people would contact us, but no one did.

Anyway, there were five of us (three of us dressed) and we had a great time sharing funny stories and generally getting to know each other!

It just happened to be Anime Overdose this weekend, so Japan Town was covered with cosplayers and everyone kept on asking us if we were with them and we kept on having to explain that no, we dress this way alot >_<

does anyone have instructions/tutorials/tips for attaching a little petticoat to the inside a skirt? i'm making a casual skirt and i want it to have just a bit of poof, but not too much, and it's so hot outside that i don't think i could handle wearing a petticoat AND a skirt anyway.

Renaissance Faire

Does anyone plan on going to the Washington State Renaissance faire any weekend this month? I went today in EGL, it is really funny to have people dressed up look at you like you are crazy. One person actually knew what the heck I was about which was rather surprising but fun.
Anyway I just thought I would see if anyone was planning on going maybe dressed in EGL maybe not.
