Prom season is coming up and I happened to come across some gorgeous gowns from Betsey Johnson that I think my fellow Lolitas will drool over. They may show a little too much skin to be strictly lolita, but I really liked the silhouette and details. I especially like the pink eyelet lace dress. http://www.edressme.com/betseyjohnsonprom.html

Hiya all! :)

Does anyone know where I can get pants like this --->http://www.putumayo-home.com/t183.htm

In either skirt or short fashion...Somewhere that's not in Japan that is! :)

Or can someone give me a rough estimate how much it might cost to commission such an item?

Thank you! :)

I was wondering if any of you girls (and guys!) like going to Disneyland on Super Bowl Sunday (which happens to be this coming Sunday.) As any Super Bowl Sunday Disneyland go-er knows, the park is as devoid of people as it will ever get on any day of the year. That means more ride fun and more empty space for pictures. This is sort of last minute, but if you guys are interested maybe we can work out a meet-up on Super Bowl Day? :D

I got an h.naoto lucky bag today and two of the items are from h.plus(a jacket and a cardigan and i'm not exactly plus sized so they're kinda big on me). Since when did h.naoto have a plus sized section?

Here is a link to a tutorial on making a basic lolita-esque jumper/dress that was posted on Craftster.org.  The girl who wrote it also put a link to pictures of her finished dress.

You'll need some basic knowlege of sewing first.  She uses a zipper in the back and doesn't explain how to put it in, and gives directions for ruffling I never heard of before.

I have completed my first Loli skirt. It stops up to the knees & I've made it match my accessories...

Phone cam pics, sorry for the blurriness )

A while ago someone posted their teacup collection, but my little guys were still in the UK. I brought mine over and thought you lovely people might like to see them too!

As an avid tea drinker, and lover of all things fancy, I started a collection of fine china, originally ironically, but in the end I really grew to love my little cup and saucer. My first cup I bought for our "shanty town" studios on my art foundation year. The poor thing met it's end some time later in my house in Birmingham (-___-)

Come on through and meet the stars! )

I hope to one day have a big collection, enough for a big tea party. None of the patterns should ever match, and I'd like to have a cup and saucer to suit every person and every mood.

Every loli should have a great tea set.

Does any one own a pair? I've been drooling over those boots forever and they have them in my size once again (that and I just got paid *bouncing*). They look like a more comfortable heal than the BTSSB boots. Or, alternatively, if anyone has a pair of their "frill ribbon shoes", which look very cute indeed... Either shoes are, however, the most expensive accessory item I've ever considered buying for some retail therapy ^_^.

If anyone could give me their opinion on the quality of construction and comfort of extended wear, I'd appreciate it a lot.

HT dress

I know we've discussed Hot Topic dresses before, so maybe this one has already been pointed out. Anyway, I found another dress from Hot Topic that they claim to be lolita.

http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=228887&RN=146

I personally think it lacks some elements. Any thoughts on it?

I am looking for an image of a particular Angelic Pretty dress. I was on their web site last fall, but i failed to save it thinking i would eventually get around to it. Low and behold the dress was no longer for sale and the link went away.
The reason i'm looking is, since i have and know how to use the ruffling foot, i want to start working on my HT dress reconstruction.

I've checked through Avante-Gauche website and through all of my own Gothic & Lolita bibles
(i have 1-13)
the dress would have been in the more recent because I know i saw it in the fall.
here is a very bad computer sketch of what the dress basically looked like
Image hosting by Photobucket
I'm just really wanting to see the dress again before trying to copy it by memory

In my quest to find side-button boots I found http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&G=1&ITEM=312603&RN=129. However, the quality seems dubious so I'm wondering if any of you lovely ladies and gents know of any sites or shops that sell any side-button boots, or if the above boots are actually good quality. The only criteria I ask for is that said shop has a branch in Ireland or said site ships to Ireland.

Thank you in advance.

This a little off-topic, but does anyone have a picture of Kuniko Kato, the designer at Metamorphose? I'm doing a project on Meta and I wanted to include a picture of her, but I've had no luck finding one. Google image searches do no good because apparently there's a famous percussionist by the same name o_O.

I have been working on some mini-hat sample pieces- they are all basically small top hats, stylewise, but with different fabrics and adornments and such. (Will post pictures soon.)
Thing is I have no idea what to charge for them, or what someone is happy to pay for them.

I wanted to make *proper* hats, not ones made from foam or cardboard or pre-bought felt ones. I am making them out of millinery buckram, and they are entirely hand-stitched (it looks better than machining in this case). So I think they should be on sale for more than your average premade/costumey hat, but at the same time they are fairly easy and fun to make, and don't take that long. And it is something I can do in front of the telly, so it's not like proper work. ;-)

That considered, what sort of price range would you think was reasonable?
Or, should there be options whereby you can get a decorated premade hat for dirt-cheap, and the more expensive one if you prefer?

Ta!
