Hello!

Although I hate to request on my first post, I was wondering if anyone can help me on a few things. Firstly, I'm planning on sewing a bonnet and would love it if anyone can post some pictures of lolita bonnets, particularly those being worn, or even patterns of some. Secondly, I'm also planning on making this dress however it would be the first time I've tackled collars so it would be wonderful if anyone could also draw me a pattern draft of what the collar should look like or point me to some patterns online (all the GLB/GosuRori scans I have don't seem to have one to my liking). Tips would also be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much! <3

EDIT: To make this post a bit more worthwhile, I took some crap pictures of the latest dress I've made! Sorry, but I only have a camera phone XD;; And yes, they're this small.

That's an adorable jumperskirt ^_^ but the pictures are so small *squints* I drafted a collar once by getting a general idea and cuting shapes out of some scrap fabric... that worked quite well for me, but it wasn't that accurate, and used up alot of cloth, so I would probally try a different approach... >.< I'm pretty sure there's a pattern for a salior collar in the gosurori patterns though.

You could also try with tissue paper, that could work if you're very careful not to rip it. Oh well, whatever you decide, good luck!

when you draft a collar pattern, its always best to test it on the garment before making the proper version, so maybe using some leftover fabric will be best.

Here's a tute for a peter pan collar (about halfway down):

Basically, you'd just make it bigger, and wider, since it's not really sitting at your neckline, it's slightly more off-the-shoulder. The best way to do it is to draft it out on paper first, to make sure it's the right size. You could make a practise one on scrap fabric just to test the fit and make sure it fits right.
I usually use greaseproof paper for drafting on - if I run out in the sewing room, I can just raid the kitchen drawer. ;)

I love that print and the design of the jumper. Did you use any patterns?
