Why? Because I made another obsessive visit to Kinokuniya today, despite knowing I am out of Baby's general size range, and started putting dresses up to myself for my own amusement, etc etc. Okay, so you know how there's that rough test you can do with clothes on the rack when there's no fitting room around (like in a bookstore) where if the side seams of the clothing on the hanger just about reach the side seams of the clothes you're wearing, then it fits?

I thought to myself, wow, that parfait onepiece looks huge on the rack, lawlz that can't be right though! and gave it the seam test for fun. And, um, it seemed to fit. Please note I have nowhere near a 70cm waist.

xD I just thought this would interest/amuse some of you, cos it sure amused me (and interested my wallet).

I have never seen any Japanese brand, let alone regular, clothing in my Kinokuniya... But that does seem interesting...

I have this (http://www.babyssb.co.jp/shopping/onepiece/130319.html) OP from baby and was very pissed when I got it. It's actually two pieces, an underskirt and the main over dress. The site lists the max waist as 80cm and this is true kind of, the waist of the over skirt is more like 30" and the underskirt is more like 48" stretched. I don't understand why they did that but what can you do.

I found it to be close to what you would pay if you ordered it from Baby+the conversion and shipping.

Baby is much better on the sizing than Meta. I have to Baby Sheering Topped JSKs and they fit my 40" bust with lots of room to spare! I mean tons. I have always though that in terms of some bust sizing (with sheering atleast) for Baby has been a bit conservative. Waist sizing....it is pretty much on the mark.

I agree with the shirring comment! I have 4 shirring btssb jsks (2 with shirring all the way around, and 2 with shirring in the front panel and back panel) and the 2 with shirring all the way around are actually so comfy it's just crazy! I'm expecting a 5th in the mail, so hopefully it'll be just as roomy. <3 Baby's shirring jsks!

Dude, I did the exact same thing when I visited Kunokiniya! I looked at one JSK and was like..."That looks pretty big! Looks like it would fit my 101 cm boobs and my 91 cm waist!"

Did you end up buying something?

Love your icon, by the way. King Superman?? Where'd you get it from?

Which Kinokuniya is this that carries clothing, and not just books and media?

meh, all the brands lie. I maul EVERYTHING in every closet child on a regular basis. I'm talking jumpers, dresses, skirts; I sit there and like untie all the lacings and bows and stretch everything to see how far it gets. I even stretch the socks. Then I try on like 10 things at a time. They probably hate me alot (although I always buy something). To a lesser extent I do the same things in all the brand shops, I cant get away with it so bad because they watch you like a hawk and they don't appreciate you stretching their socks.

I've found things of every brand that can fit my elephantine body. There is always a fatty piece hiding in every brand. debu-rori unite!

Yeah after you untie and retie the lacing it can fit bodies more nice. X3

Yeah, I found that at least with the two Baby items I own (an older collection skirt and cutsew) the sizing is the biggest of my brand stuff, more like Meta sizing equivalent honestly. The skirt is too long on me and though their waist sizing in skirts tends to say a max of like 64-66cm, I have a 60cm waist and it hangs much below my natural waist, it's more like 64-66cm would be the minimum. O_o
Also the cutsew would be better filled out by someone with a bigger waist, my bust fits perfectly in it (I'm 35"... and there isn't any pulling/stretching yet) but other than that it just kinda hangs on me.
