I am finalising a new skirt design, but am not sure how best to adorn it.
I have 3 versions, so you should get some idea... here's the basic one:

This is the most 'finished' one, i.e. it has the strip of ribbon and the bows at the bottom.

This is the latest one. I'm not sure whether to ditch the bows or not...

Btw. the back has an elasticated lace-up faux corsetty bit, like this:

...so I like the ribbons because they kind of tie-in with that. But then maybe they are too fussy with the print fabric.
Any ideas?

I agree about the cream one, it's my favorite. ^^ And maybe the same color for the pink ribbon at the top, it seems a little out of place there. <3

I like it with the ribbon trim but without the bows. Of course, if you were offering it for sale, you could offer all 3 options ;D I kind of don't like the faux corset closure, I think it would look more elegant without that. Other than that they are beautiful skirts and you should post them when they're available so that I can get one. :ninja:

I suggest adding some plain colors as accents. Or some plain ribbons or something. The patterns are really intense. Maybe put on an applique of some sort to try to turn the patterns into accents rather than the overall design point.

I really like the darkest one, with the bowes, I think you should go for that look. But as somebody else said, the last one with the cream and browns would be rally nice with brown ribbones, the pink you have now clases and ruins the classic look of it. Generally I think you need the one-coloured ribbon at the bottom to contrast and mute the busy print.

I think the contrast band on the waistband needs to be broken up a little. Like another strip of trim through the middle of that one. Maybe the same color as the faux corset lacing to tie it all together? I do like the hem of the skirt with the bows.

I'm really not a fan of the wide ribbons/faux corset part you have around the waist. It seems a bit too shiny and tacky to me, when the skirts are lovely on their own. I really love the cream one with the black ribbon, though, much more than the purple around the waist.

I like the ribbons, but I think the black one on the cream skirt doesn't go very well with it, especially in combination with the pink/lilac one on top. I agree that brown would look nice. The color of red/dark pink that is the swirls in the farbic might also go well with it.

For the black/pink skirt, I think you should the corset lacing ribbon in the same color as the big ribbon.

I really like the black/pink fabric btw!! What's the print? strawberries and...shoppingbags?

I love the flow of these skirts!
I think the bows add a nice touch to them, because its not gaudey at all and makes it a little bit more fancey
