I don't suppose boots like these are acceptable for gothloli...? =/ The strap on one of my platform maryjanes has finally bit the dust but I needed shoes for this weekend. ;_;

These aren't mine they're just the closest picture I could find online to what I have. Mine are black laces and vinyl.

I dont realy like the shape of them.. boots like that usualy end up being very unflattering to calfs(less your cafs ARE that large that there isnt ne gap between your leg n the top hem thingie)

The calves on these actually look bigger than my boots. Mine fill just right. :)

I'm thinking with the right outfit they'd look alright. I was hoping to find a pic of someone wearing them but no luck. They look crappy just flopped on the floor like that. =/

depending on the outfit it could work.... but it really really depends on the outfit~ :x

I have those exact boots! In patent too! ^-^ They're ... okay, the only shoes I wear with Loli. I hate flat shoes with a passion. XD I don't really do anything other than Gothic and Punk Lolita, though ...

Maybe this might be useful to you ... I got a note in my e-mail today saying that there's a Hallowe'en sale on at Rivethead (http://www.rivithead.com/Halloween_20061.html), quite a lot of Goth-Loli shoes for DIRT CHEAP. I'd be all over them if it wasn't for the fact that they charged about an extra $35 to ship to Great Britain. ;-;

Yep, we've definitely got the same ones! XD

I know that some people on this community do say to steer away from shiny leather-like things ... but really, not everyone in the world looks good in white cotton ballet shoes, nor can afford rocking-horse soles. >.>;; I've seen some good outfits in that sort of shape of shoe, so why not with a boot? ^-^; (And if Mana can do it with what is a MALE figure underneath all those petticoats, why can't I? XD)

I have a pair of boots with platforms like that... since my loli style is very much gothic, it works well. I like that style of platform because it's kind of chunky and cute, at the same time as being kind of scary. Heheh.

Just about all "alternative" shoe styles used for gothic lolita started out in western goth and punk first. Clunky boots, MaryJanes and etc...

Anyway I think it depends on the outfit. Fashion is not written in stone. ;)

I admit I lol'd at "normal goth attire". It's an ironic assessment.

I do appreciate your honest opinion though. :) Don't worry. If it looks like crap I'm sure we'll be seeing me on L_Fs in no time. ^_^
