Uh-oh...

So I put an e-mail in about two weeks ago (maybe sooner) trying to reserve an item from BABY. I hadn't heard from them and I knew they were backed up and I got worried because I really wanted the item. Last time I tried ordering and hadn't heard from them, they ended up running out, so I didn't get it. Anyway, to cover my butt, I ended up putting the order through Crescent Shop for the same reservation. It's all taken care of through them, all paid for and everything.

This morning, I wake up to find an e-mail from the charming Ayako. They got my reservation and now I have TWO reserved. Um. So. I really only need one and now that the one through Crescent Shop is taken care of, what do I do?

I replied immediately with a quick e-mail explaining that I had already reserved the item and paid for it. Truth be told, I did NOT expect BABY to come through with this because, as much as I love them, their mail ordering system in the past has absolutely never worked for me. T-T;;

HELP! What do I do? I feel really silly right now... ::SIGH:: I'm so dumb sometimes.

Just made a sales thread. BUY MY BUNNY GUYS!! :)

If you cancel they may not let you reserve in the future. I'd try to sell it to someone on the community. A lot of the reservation stuff is wanted here.

^ what she said.

it happens a lot; don't sweat it. since you can't/shouldn't cancel reservations, just sell it here.

They pay for it through whatever method and then you pay Baby with it. You have a week so make sure they pay right away!

(was it for those ear muffs? I'd buy them and can pay now).

I got an e-mail from them this morning over the reservation I made two weeks ago. The funny thing is I haven't heard anything about the large order I placed 4 weeks ago! Looks like they want our reservations but not our orders!

What I find funny is that they answered my e-mail about the reservation I am making for myself and another person, but have completely ignored the larger order I put in.

I totally understand how you feel! Being backed up is one thing, but being left in the dark is another. Congrats on finding a new buyer! That backpack is so cute!

Meta got it right, and their sales have skyrocketed because of it. Also when you order from Meta the merchandise comes straight from their office - that is why there are limited numbers on the site, where as Baby pulls from store stock (from what I have been told).

If you are going to do internet business, then you really can't leave people in the dark. After this I am not sure if I will order direct from Baby again unless it is something I REALLY want.

I will say I am glad that I waited instead of going through a shopping service. I was lucky to get my earmuffs and only one of the things I intially ordered is now out of stock.

I have heard that faxing an order is much better (I mean they have it right there in hard copy) so I think I am going to try that next time. Seriously, they could make SOOO much money from the international market if they just redid their process a little bit. Hell, I know they would get alot more more from me that is for sure!

WOW.

It's not just the bunny backpack, but it's also the white x pink earmuffs that I have two of now!

Yes, I'll have to look for someone else to buy my 2nd set...

4095 yen, but I want to sell the extra pair that I'm getting through Crescent-shop, so there's an additional 1260 yen domestic shipping and the muffs would come out to 4914 yen after their 20% commission.

I don't even know how much the EMS shipping for this item's going to be separately... It might not be worth it for me to sell them, so I'm still debating on keeping them.

At this point, I'm thinking of selling off my Crescent-shop order because of the commission involved, etc.

I might just sell them off as a set because it's easier, but as I stated, I'm totally not sure yet. Crescent tacked on a lot of fees, especially because they even commission the domestic shipping to them and I know that when Crescent repacks items, they use a lot of newspaper & bubblewrap, so the box is bound to be a good 4000 yen or more to ship. Out of approximately 10 shipments from Crescent, I have had only 1 shipment that was 3200 yen and it was a tiny box.
