I've had this question posted over at egl_books for some time, without getting an answer, so I thought I'd consult the wisdom of the masses here at egl. It's a burning question I've harbored for many a month...

What is Momoko reading in the cafe scene of the film Shimotsuma Monogatari?



Is it a book? Is it a manga? Does it exist? Is it for sale in japan? If so, where, and how much? *wants to get her hands on a copy*

the book title (translated) says "How to be a Lolita" so it is probably a "normal" book.

not sure if it is a real book or not....sorry. that's all I know (thank you imdb.com XDD).

From the screenshot it seems like the book says, "Lolita Ro..." and then the white text is obscured by glare :P

I have my own cap of it but I lent the movie to a friend so I can't be 100% certain... I've tried looking that phrase up on Google but it only gives me Adult Videos >____<
