Patterns

I am new to the community, but have loved the gothic lolita style for years.
I am very particular about how I look in clothes so am not very keen on purchasing items from online as of yet.
I am wondering if anyone here knows where I can get patters so I can make my own loli clothes. (I am a novice sewer as well.)

If you have money to burn, I highly recommend the Gosu Rori (http://www.sasugabooks.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=gosu+rori&osCsid=702588a602c6908a143f0bccfcc0806c&x=0&y=0) magazines (not the Gothic Lolita Bible) for tons of patterns. Some pieces require you to draft yourself, many of the outfits double dip on certain pieces, so there are excellent graphical directions in the books that show you where to add or take away. They size from Japanese Small, Medium, Large, and L Large. There is a size chart with measurements, you'd need to take your own. And prolly adjust the sizes up a bit. It requires all manner of sewing/drafting goodies, but you get some great outfits out of it.

If you feel *too* new to dive into the scary Japanese patterns, somewhere in the aforementioned "Memories" section are some links to sites with lists of American patterns that can be lolified, or are close enough...
