You know, winter is coming and all that. :)

And so, I was wondering, I happened to see this little bag-like thing in one of the egl bibles (i forgot which) and was wondering what it was called, and where I can get it from. Basically, it is like a pouch and you keep your hands inside it, then the ends are tied with string around your neck. The pouch is usually made of fur like warm material I think. :) So it quite functions like gloves :) Any idea? :)

You can find a selection on ebay just searching for "muff" and looking in the clothing category.

I belive one of the GLbs had muff patterns, they can't be hard to make. I don't know the exact one, I'd check avant gauche.

The pattern is in the GLB Extra (from last year), also in GLB vol 11.

It's a muff and they're relatively easy to make. It's just a lined rectangle of fur or wool that's sewn up and turned inside out with a ribbon or tie attached. And btw, they will *not* replace gloves, not unless you live in a very warm climate. They're meant to *help* your gloves keep your hands from freezing, as it was once seen as improper to walk around with one's hands in one's pockets.
