egl_archive | Tea @ Ritz

So, on Tuesday

electroncat and I scoped out a potential tea party location in downtown Atlanta, for a meetup for Dragon*Con. We fancied ourselves up for afternoon tea at the Ritz Carlton and took some pictures, of course! We had a lot of fun confusing people and prancing around in floofy dresses, but not so much fun waiting for the rain to stop T__T Alas~ On with the pictures (please forgive all spelling and grammatical errors, I'm so ready for bed!)

Paying for parking... Like hell we're paying $15 for valet! Good thing we paid for the 1.5+ hour choice, it ended up raining lions and wolves by the time we finished tea T__T

We had tea with this guy over our shoulders. A fine gentleman indeed, didn't talk much though.

Our sandwiches arrive! From the top: Smoked salmon with roe, a cucumber thing with dill butter, curried egg salad, and grilled chiken salad with too many sesame seeds. They were all 'ok', nothing to write home about, but we persevered and ate them all.

And now, definitly for the win... Desserts! From the top again, we had a slice of blueberry cake, banana nut bread, a lemon tart (omg, it was sooooo tasty), a chocolate-soemthing moose, a brownie thing, a lemon muffin-thing, i think orange scone, and in the middle a grapfruit cheesecake with blood-orange geletain.

Creepy guy in yellow shirt. He deserved a photo since he pretty much flirted with me via eye contact the entire time.

Damnit, you caught me!

The massacre of the desserts. Unfortunatly we couldn't finish all our sweets since we had eation all the sandwiches beforehand T__T

I decided we needed pictures of us smelling not-really-flowers.

I try my hand at looking normal.

Then I just had to be a jackass and stand on the bench to get this totally awesome shot. We were going to have her take on of me from her angle, but some mean security guy told me 'you're not allowed to take pictures in here, baby girl, but I'll let you keep those as momentos'. F*YOU SECURITY MAN!

So we consoled ourselves by taking photos of our socks and shoes. These are Kats'.
