Hello! My name's Cordelia, and I've just turned 14 14. I really love gyaru as a style more than gothic lolita, but I'm interested in fashion design, so I've been practicing sewing different things, and I thought I'd try a lolita dress. It's not quite done yet, but I thought I'd post it up for feedback and constructive criticism before I finished. It still needs the zipper, to be shortened an hemmed, and I'm gathering the top layer of the skirt in the middle front to create an over-skirt. you can see the underskirt fabric in the last picture. It also needs a prettier faux bow in the front.

This first picture is just of me, and for once I'm not smiling, which is rather rare:

Details for people who want to know:

-the fabric behind the front corset has tiny tuck facing downward on it, and a backing of the blue/white fabric behind it

-there's a small key charm sewn onto the front under the bow you can see it in picture #5

-the inner skirt will be edged in lace

- the dress looks chubby on me right now because the zipper's not in yet.

I think it would look better with white ribbon since the black is kind of really bold, but other than that, it's awesome.

I think the black lacing could be coordinated with accessories very easily. I like it! I think the fabric and smaller lace goes together very well, but I don't know why I don't like the larger lace on the outside of the black lacing. Maybe it's because it doesn't seem to be meshing with the rest of the dress.

It looks really nice, except for the black ribbon. It's way too distracting, you should put on some thinner, white ribbon.
