As I am just beginning purchasing my first dress is very exciting. I'm far too poor for the name brands, so I'm having it custom made. I attached a picture of what it'll look like. I was looking for something black and white because I always thought black and white was very beautiful, clean and elegant.

My apologies for the glaring watermark. It's the store's image. >.<;

Plus my mom wouldn't question as much as me drooling over something pink and frilly. XD

I'll have the dress soon (hopefully, hopefully, hopefully) and I can't wait to get to the accessories. Any suggestions on how to accessorize this particular style of dress? The neck straps lead me to believe my options as far as necklaces are limited, but prove me wrong. XD Also, I'm not sure if I want to go with a head dress or a crown. On that topic, could I easily hand sew a head dress if that's the cuter option? I'm an idiot. I don't know how to sew, really..

Anyway .. I'd hate to ruin it by doing something stupid with accessories. Looking for further advice. ^^

I think a mini top hat and some black socks with black lace would look cute with the dress! It's not hard to find mini hats either. Just go to the craft store and look in the bear isle, thats where I usually find plain small hats. A beaded crown would look very lovely also! (There's a tutorial on them somewhere in the memories).

Did you already buy it? I had a bad experience with honestdragonchina.

care to explain? :)
I've looked at their dresses before and have considered purchasing, but I'm too lazy to get exact measures lol.

There was a stain on the dress. It didn't fit right. The sewing was pretty bad. It was a wa-loli style dress and one of the kimono-type sleeves was sewn on completely different than the other. The material was VERY different than pictured. She uses other people's pictures. Also, a week after I purchased it she put the same thing up for $30 less than what I paid.

Sorry to be a downer. :( I just can't let somebody else go through that crap again.

By the way, the dress you like is very cute.
Honestdragonchina prices after shipping are a bit too much for what it is. I suggest commisioning somebody here on EGL.

It's not good to back out. I think it should turn out alright. Sorry to be a downer. Ugh. I feel bad. Enjoy your first dress!

well I looked, and in general they do. they have a lot of withdrawn feedback which shows that they had some problems with some of their items before, but they do offer to make a new dress for free (not sure if they follow through, but yeah!)

I think you should put whatever you want on your head, there are tons of options: headdress, mini top hat, crowns, alice bows, bonnets, or anything else you want to be creative with. Most people seem to have a preferance between a few, but if you're new you might want to try a few different things and see what you like the best. I don't think one's really "cuter" than another...just pick whatever you like the best.

I deleted my first comment and I checked their ebay just to make sure I'm not bad talking a good business. After checking it, I stick with my first opinion: not trustworthy.

They did get some bad reviews if you check. The quality is really questionable. They don't use their own pics so you don't know what you'll be getting.

I think because of the simplicity a top hat would be nicer than a headdress~ Also a white ribbon around the top hat to go with the ribbon on the dress...

If the ribbon isn't sewn into the dress though I'ld say switching it for black ribbon~
