I was thinking about ordering this skirt here. But I kinda of have reservations since I tend to lean towards a sweeter style. Overall its a really nice skirt, I'm just worried about the strap/corset lacing in the center. Has anyone gotten this skirt before by chance? Does it deviate too far? Does is seem appropriate enough to a more darker EGL look?

I think it is a more classical or elegant gothic lolita style but if you like it , why not try the more elegant styles for a change? I bet you can also find a way to make it fit your style.

I think owning a more sophisticated outfit isn't bad at all and might come in handy.

I think that's fine. Classic and sweet overlap sometimes in my opinion, anyway. If you paired that with cute socks, some pink shoes, say, and a Baby blouse or cutsew and bows, it would be sweet, sure. Maybe a teddy purse? It's a basic white piece, really, so it's what you do with it.

Besides, what if you needed something a little nicer or older looking for a special event or date? Having a little variation is good sometimes.
