Alright, Im entering this dress in a contest on a fashion forum Im on and I need some of your opinions! my only porblem I have is I dont know what to put as the image in the scallops. I put some sketches of cupcakes in there to get an idea but what do you all think should be there? Cupcakes, real cakes, a fruit, a candy, a rose,bows what?

Her stockings and shoes look really cute together. <3 For some reason I'm really seeing strawberries with little tiny green bows by the stems. And the dress would then be pink. :D Yay!

why not put something like ribbons the mimic the pattern of the scalloped edges and then put something on the peaks (candy? cakes?)? I think that the skirt isn't busy enough to match the tight, which give me a candy cane impression.

Do you mean like ribbon along the scallping? I dont quite catch what youre saying but it sounds really neat.. can you explain it more?

like.. when you hang streamers, the streamer will naturally bow, like a scalloped skirt. Something where the scallops are being made by being held up by some bows or ribbon. Hmmm... I can't explain this without drawing...

except, think of the bottom screenprinted scalloped ring is actually the bottom of the skirt. Instead of huge screenprinted bows, thinkg of maybe ribbon bow with some sort of decoration. so... where the scallops meet at the top point, put a decorative element. Then have them connect with either a ribbon or screen print in a pattern that would mimic the actual scalloped edge...

i know this sounds convoluted, but i hope it helps a bit more.. ^^;;

sorry for the late reply, but yes! That was exactly what I was thinking. I just like the continuation of a pattern all around a skirt rather than just putting something there, but that's me. ^^

I know I love angelic pretty, it shouldnt be fair that cupcakes are only for angelic pretty... its a cute theme and it should be done more often. Becides while asking the same question other places people seemed to want cupcakses most, and I'll give them what they want.

What I meant wasn't that cupcakes are for Angelic Pretty only. Its strikinly similar to an Angelic Pretty dress I own. The dress has cakes n such on it so it would look like you're ripping off a design.

Yes I know angelic pretty did do a cupcake theme thing, but their dress design was comepletely different. Like I said previously, cupcakes are a cute theme and shouldnt be reserved for an AP line that is not even out anymore, this theme should be done more often.
