Finally i came up with something after a lot of tea

i come up with this

I keep feeling that there is something wrong, I can't quite put my finger on it, aside from that I want to make this to sell, so I quite need this to look "perfect"

Well... the second lace you picked (the non-eyelet) looks kinda cheap. :X Get some nice crocheted lace instead?

Hmm... on paper... I think the lace going down the skirt is maybe too wide...? Oh, I know what it is! :0 The bottom looks awkward to have like, this triangle of lace, sort of, and then to have more straight fabric underneath with more lace... Maybe instead of just more straight fabric below that first line of lace, make it a ruffle instead, no lace at the hem? :3

i second the opinion about the cheap lookin lace ^^;;

Maybe another kind of eyelet lace could be used instead?

oh sorry!
*studies image again*
I think for the bust part, it would be cuter if instead of those 2 criss-crossing parts going down the sides, you had 1 going down the middle

Just one thing of lace with criss-crossing ribbon goin down the front sounds good!

2 might be a bit too busy with your fabric already having a pattern on it and all

XD that's what I think was a little "off" about it. Because it's a bit too paralell...

If you've done scallops before, I think that would look really cute on the bottom! If not, I'd recommend a ruffle because the space just seems..to akward after the lace. I really like the design, it's uber cute ^_^ And yes, I'd swap the "cheap" lace for a more solid kind. And I agree with the above comment about having the corset lacing down the middle. It would look a lot less busy and over all very cute ^_^

The only thing I can think of is that the design itself is... very much overdone. It reminds me of THAT Hot Topic dress, and then the BtSSB and AP designs that were very similar.

I've seen your designs and outfits before, and I know they can be really good... The houndstooth pattern makes me think more of a cute capelet and skirt set, with matching headdress/mini hat. Of course, it's winter here, and summer in Canada, so I'd be thinking of a heavier sort of set than you would be in the heat ^_^

Of course... it's not houndstooth -_-;; But it still looks like a fairly heavy fabric.

Agreed with Sefie, it looks a lot like those dresses.

On an unrelated topic, if you are up to borrowing base designs the fabric you've got is screaming to be made as a remake of this jsk (http://www.angelicpretty.com/shopping/jsk/62j-2214.html) (to me at least). I'd say drop the thin lace you've got and use the eyelet lace on the bottom of the hem ruffles and around the top of the heart + sleeves.

i agree that the bottom looks off. it would be soo cute like the bottom of this dress http://www.angelicpretty.com/shopping/op/62o-3188.html or for a simpler look, just a ruffle at the bottom like ugly_kitties adviced

but i think the 2 side corset lacings would be fine as long as the ribbon matches the black/navy almost perfectly so it doesnt stand out too much
