So as of Saturday I will be moving to Japan for a least a year to teach with the JET program. I plan on bringing some of my loli stuff. However, how do I pack my petticoat so that it doesn't lose its poof? As I will be trying to pack my entire life into two suitcases, everything will most likely be very tightly packed.

Any suggestions? It's really a nice petti and I don't want to ruin it.

space bag. Things puff right back up when taken out. My family has been using them for years and I tested a couple of my loli clothes a couple days ago for my move.

I second this, they even make travel versions where you can just roll the air out of the bag without a vaccuum.

Off topic, but...

Oh, this is a good topic! x_x; I'm still trying to figure out a better way to bring my pettis to Otakon... for AX I did a retarded thingy and packed all my clothes on the bottom of the suitcase, then in the immense space left, laid my petticoats down... :X In the panic over my petticoats I forgot almost all casual clothes, and just bzuh.

Anyway. If it's a really, really strong petticoat (like the leg avenue one) then you should be able to roll it up really tightly and then just shake it back into shape when you get there. If not, all I can recommend is hanging your petti upside down when you get there... Eh. I'll be watching this topic like a hawk for better idea.

Oh wow, I'd like to do the JET program to! How'd you get into that? (If you don't mind my asking?)

I second the space bag, I moved to california and packed all of my clothes in them, and they came out just fine. You can pack pillows in a space back and when you open them back up the just..inflate. Space bags are the way to go..AND they save ALOT of room

YAY Where will you be??

I dunno, I always just roll mine up and stuff them in when I go on vacation and then pull them out and fluff them and they are okay. But then mine are cheap so I'm not that concerned about it...when they die I just pop over to Bodyline and buy a new one. XD

But actually, usually I just pack it the safest way: I wear it! hahahaa Nah, because I have several, I do pack them in suitcase. I think rolling them is good because it kinda cushions against itself instead of being crushed between other things.

when you unpack it hang it over a hot steamy bath that will perk it up.
