Hi! I'm Marilyn... I have read this community for a long time and I don't think I ever posted :-)

I was wondering what other western lolis do about shoes?? I have been looking into shoes for quite some time, cutesy platforms and mary janes- I look alot on ebay with a little luck but we just don't have cute shoes like they do in japan.

I was wondering if anyone had ever ordered shoes from Japan?? I am in love with these shoes
from baby the stars shine bright but I don't think I can order them. I have *big* feet- I wear a US size 10-11 (womens) and I seriously doubt *any* shoe from Japan would fit my big feet. I know they go by S*M*L standards & have measurements but the large seems way smaller than I need. I am desperately in search of cute pink shoes, as well as white frilly or patent mary jane type shoes - to go with my wedding dress :-)

I am not in a huge rush, but I really want to know if anybody has any suggestions or brand names or *anything* for me to find cute shoes for my horribly big feet >:-P ~*thanks!!!*~

i do not think size 8 in UK is very big at all.. seeing as UK8 is same as US10... that would be strange judgement.. i got platformish shoes from japan ...pbought over ebay] and they were a size 6 [US i guess] well.. 22-24 cm in length and while they are exactly 1/2 a size too small for me, they fitted my sister.

and i wear UK8 sized runners anyway...so.. HMM

oh how silly of me -- ;; the point of this post was to say.. maybe all you have to do is ask them the length of the shoe in CM/inches ... and when they report back, measure it against your own size..and if it fits...wel..yay

funkefeet.com
goodgoth.com's footwear section
torrid/hottopic.com's footwear section

i dont know if this helps, but japanese shoes sizes go by the size of the foot that will fit in the shoes, instead of the length of the shoe itself.
so right now im wearing these nike air force ones, (i know not loli at all! but they have measurments inside) so it reads..
us s 8
uk s 5.5
the shoe measures 27 cm and is labled as such on the inside.

now these fit with about a 1.5 cm left in the toe area. if i had not known how japanese shoes fit i would have gotten a L (diffenrent brands have differnet sizing for s, m, l so make sure to look) and some carry the bigger ones. that would have been way too big! so when i measures my feet it was about 23.5-24, no where near the 27 cm that i thoguht i had to try to purchase. there is also sometimes E next to shoe size. that tells you how wide it is. i think E is standard and EE and so forth is wider.
so im glad i found that info out of i would have had giant clunky shoes.
it is also good for you because you maybe able to find shoes now that would fit you, if you are afraid that they dont make them as large as you think.

I think a Large in Japanese is a Us Women's size 8. Also, Japanese shoes are wider than American ones. You can order from Baby the Stars Shine Bright, but you have to do a money wire and it can be expensive. I suggest looking at Hot Topic or Torrid and finding some cute maryjanes and making some little kneesocks with ribbon lace up the top.

ps i was looking through clearance and i found these left in size 0 and 11 for 7.99.
http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=340378&RN=295
they are very cute, i see these shoes in the bible all the time, but instead of being made by hottopic they are made by the brand an ten na. you can't even tell the differance.

Oh you poor dear!
I have size 11 feet myself!
I collect shoes because it's so hard to find good ones when you want them!
I would suggest if you are hell-bent on having pink platform mary-janes to get an inexpesive pair of black ones and spray-paint them.
I have been looking for pink Mary-Janes in an 11 everywhere for years and the closest I have ever come is red.
Also... T.U.K. as well as HotTopic brand shoes run small in length. If you wear a true 11 more than you wear a ten, beware of that.
If I come across any cool shoes I'll be sure to let you know! ^___^
Until then, good luck!
