Lolita Sushi Night

I'm taking a break from a long evening of sewing what I will be nick-naming The 3-Tiered Skirt of Doom in order to bring you all this photo post :)

Yes, your two favorite friends, P-Chan and K-Chan have been out on the town in lolita style again. This time, we went out for a sushi buffet :)




When P-Chan told me that she'd found out about a local sushi restaurant that was doing an $8 all-you-can-eat buffet all I wanted to know was WHEN AND WHERE?! My ass didn't get too fat for Victorian Maiden all on its own, right?


I decided to wear shirololi that evening. I actually had to wear it to work beforehand, too (without the capelet, headdress, gloves, stockings, and petticoat it really did just look like a white summery outfit). Of course by the time I reached dinner I had gotten a stain on my outfit. Thank god for Tide with Bleach On-the-Go pens! I sent P-Chan an email with SHIROLOLI RIDES AGAIN in the text. o.O


Speaking of P-Chan, she arrived looking lovely in a bxw lolita outfit. The rest of the crowd happened to be a Japanese Media Appreciation Group (read: anime club) from the nearest college. Well, Japanophiles eating at a sushi buffet? I can't say it's unexpected...

P-Chan enjoys hot tea and laughter. And really, isn't that all one needs in life?




This was my first time busting out my white Meta headdress in public. I had a little discussion with P-Chan about how I was worried when I first put it on that it looked like I had a large, lacy maxi-pad on my head. She assured me it looked lovely and assuaged my fears. And it *did* match the capelet...



Finally, as the evening wore on, we discovered that the bathroom of the restaurant had pretty furniture and excellent lighting. So, we did an extremely girlie thing and sandwiched ourselves in there together to take some photos. Here are the resulting glamour shots:

And your friend is right, the meta headdress does not look like a maxi pad and this is comming from a girl who thinks all look like giant pads. I actually thinks it is the wide lace on the edge that keeps it from falling into the pad category

Oh gosh, that's good to know. Yeah I think the wide lace that sort of drips down and nearly makes it look like some sort of veil or maybe old-school catholic head-covering really does help it narrowly miss maxi-pad territory! @_@

i find that when i go out to eat sushi in loli i am constently afraid of dropping soysauce filled rice bits onto my clothing X_X

For one thing, you have to be seriously confident in your chopstick abilities! For another thing, you have to put a napkin (or 5) into your lap and constantly say "excuse me" when going through the crowded restaurant so that nobody spills food on you or knocks into you while you're carrying a bowl of soup or something. And lastly, you have to have a Tide with Bleach Pen!!! I actually didn't have to use it at the restaurant (go me!) but as I said, during lunch at work I definitely got a few spots on my blouse and skirt and that bleach pen cleaned it up perfectly by the time I got to the restaurant. Best $4 I ever spent!

hehe i love your posts, they're always fun ^___^. the capelet/headress look mighty cute! i went out to eat sushi at this place that has $1 plates last night...they go around the bar on a little train...and i stuffed my face for only $8! in a headdress! now i wish i had taken photos...it's the rose festival here so there were lots of people dressed up around me...like one girl with a top hat/glitter makeup/giant petti @_@...anyways i'm rambling but basically i'm saying we're psychic sushi pals!
