Ok like i stated these are my first lolita outfits, one was bought from someone here in the community, and i was kinda hoping someone had an answer to the sleeves being to short, besides having someone take them apart and legthen them for me. (I can sew but I woudn't want to ruin that beautiful dress.) which is a possability, becuase i miss calculated and its a big snugg, but i love it, would anyone here be able to alter it by adding a panel in the back maybe, and how would would it be. (I am wearing shoes but you can't see them :( )




And this one i made. the skirt was a challange becuase i've never really finished anything i made without a pattern. the blouse i altered. i liked it becuase it has cufflinks, and i really wanna find some cute cufflinks (or makde some i guess) I dunno how i feel about the head dress. and I don't have any white shoes yet, I'm going to buy some here very shortly, and i know my stocking are dirty >< i thought where where clean or i would have bought a new pair yesterday, please forgive me!!

the only thing i can think of off the top of my head is that your lace is very thin; it's hard (and pricey) to get thicker, nicer lace made out of better material, but i really think it's worth it (it can make or break any dress!)

i got the lace for sale at walmart, id idn't want to spend a bunch of money on lace for a dress i wasen't sure would work out. but I will invest more next time i promise!!

The sleeves aren't that short that it causes a problem. From the pictures posted, it looks fine to me. Also, personally, I think the black suits you more than the pink dress, by the way, but I always prefer black if there's any sort of decision to be made.

i'm glad the sleeve don't look as short as they feel. maybe a pretty bracelet would make my nekkid wrists feel better. lol i NEVER wear long sleeves accept at work so, maybe that why it felt so weird!

You're adorable. My only suggestion is that ruffle on the bottom of your skirt looks a wee bit short(not the overal length of the skirt), atleast in comparison to the rest of the skirt. But it looks honestly cute. :3 And I agree with the above poster,(and I'm not biased towards black) you make a very good gothic lolita.

For the black dress you could always add some more lace or black ruffles to lengthen it a little.

But try wearing it with a really large pannier! I've seen the dress in real life and it's an absolute stunner with a pannier!

Wow, for being a beginner you sure look cute! Everything looks adorable on you, and you coordinated quite well!

There are no glaring mistakes, but here are some suggestions:
- The sleeves on the black dress ARE a bit too short but I can't think of an easy fix for this. You might just have to take them apart and sew some bigger ones on...? Or perhaps make the ruffle at the end longer, and maybe bell-shaped/flared. OR, make the sleevees SHORTER. I wonder if anyone's ever done 3/4 sleeves for loli...

- Well now I'm thinking it's just the camera angle, but the pink skirt seems just a tad too short. I wouldn't worry about changing it now, just remember to make your next one a little closer to the knee ^^ Well in my opinion anyway.

- I almost didn't notice, but I think the general rule is to tie the headdress behind your head rather than under your chin. It looks fine on you that way, though. You ought to experiment in the mirror and see which way you like better ^^

And I have to agree that I like the black on you better than pink/white. The dark color compliments your skin and hair tones very well.

i dug through lolitasnap and the first 5 pictures of so i pulled up all had it tied in the frount, i thought it was tacky but, i figured fellow the majority since i am a newbie. ><
and yeah the pink skirt did come out a little short, >< I didn't take the poof into acount while i made it!
ever sincei was a kid my mom said i looked better in black too >>sob<< i'm such a sweet lolita on the inside. lol thanks for the imput!!
