loli sleep wear
Jun. 8th, 2006 02:39 amRecently I have been catching the phrase "loli sleep wear" around the forums. I understand there are loli sleep wears found in the GLBs so they do exist. However, when some people post finds of potential loli-ables for day wear some would say "well be cute as sleep wear." Is that the nice way of saying "cute but not really loli-able for day wear." That is my feeling on the phrase or are lolis really willing to spend $70.00 plus for sleep wear, I would spend maybe $40 max for cute and comfortable set. Personally I would not spend that much on sleeping clothes.
What is your take on loli sleep wear?

I just wear whatever's comfortable(*cough* goth loli wearing green PJ's with white kittes *cough*).

Date: 2006-06-08 10:14 am (UTC)However I have a few pretty nightdresses that I wear *as clothes*. So if sleepwear was around that was really nice, and quite decorative (i.e. loli sleepwear), I'd probably end up wearing it as day clothes anyway.

Date: 2006-06-08 11:51 am (UTC)If I ever start sewing clothes, sleepwear will probably be one of the first things I'll make. It seems to be an easy start, and if the stiching is a bit crooked it doesn't matter much. Good for practice.

Alot of stores also sell pajama pants with matching camis in really cute prints. I saw some cherry and strawberry print pink ones at Sam's a few days ago, but for the life of me I could not find my size. ; ;

Date: 2006-06-08 05:28 pm (UTC)I generally wear just underpants and a tank top or t-shirt to bed. I live in pajamas tho so I'll wear around the apartment when friends/family are over or I'm sewing. So I like to have some cute pajamas around. Also Eron would think its adorable if I wore cute pajamas to bed.

Date: 2006-06-09 12:59 am (UTC)although im totally pro lounge wear, i only dress up when i go outside, since i dont do alot of that i find it important to have something comfy to hang around in.
right now im wearing a non decorated poofy skirt with stretchy waistband, and a plain tanktop. i think thats ok.
what i would really like is a lolita bathrobe, i always put on my bathrobe when i get up, and while mine is comfy, i would really prefer something, more elegant.
i had this sort of button up gown thing with lace when i was young (i liked sleeping in that too) i think that would be appropiate.
most people really dislike wearing like seperate pants when they sleep though, so i think bloomers arent really sleepwear, unless you live in alaska.

Date: 2006-06-09 03:21 pm (UTC)I'm pretty cheap about most of my clothes - more so with sleepwear, I wouldn't shell out more than £10. I'd feel odd wearing expensive or fancy things to bed, because tossing and turning would crease and crush the clothes/detail. I've got some (not loli) sleepwear stuff that I wear exclusively during the day, so I'd go beyond £10 if it could be pulled into a daywear outfit (max. probably £30-40).
I usually just go for cute soft vests and knickers* (yay Primark) or oversize t-shirts, the kind of ones you'd save for painting in - bad lazy lolita. For more loli sleepwear I'd rather make the garments myself - less structured should be quicker and easier to make, but these garments'd be pretty simple. More like this with narrower straps (http://www.cosmates.jp/shop/product_info/pid-4170.html) than this (http://www.cosmates.jp/shop/product_info/pid-4170.html).
