Plus Size Kodona, maybe?

I found this lovely 4 piece outfit on the Lane Bryant website, and I think it'd make a wonderful kodona look, but I may be wrong, what do you think??

Now, just to get the $300+ so I can have it all, cause I'd so wear it... I'd just need the right socks, shoes and a newsboy hat...

Nah, 44 inch waist, 63 inch hips... my butt is huge... the tops will fit, but not the pants.

i think it'll work but ditch the jacket, it makes it look more like an oldlady suit and less like a kodona outfit :x

well it does match the pants and vest (and I wouldn't wear it buttoned at all), but at $120+ it doesn't seem worth it when the shirt and vest look cute enough by themselves...

Lane Bryant has some fantastic stuff out right now. My mom just sent me a bunch of stuff including frilly shirts (great for EGA), pinstriped pants, and other fun accessories. It's worth checking out.

I just tried the lane bryant one on....I would suggest going to the store and trying it on first. It looked horrible on me! all depends on the location of your curves ^_^

i like the vest/pants (especially the detail on the vest...reminds me of the white rabbit) combo, but the shirt and jacket seem a little old-lady-ish and not all that cute.

It's true, but men's pants and coats don't fit the same way that women's sizes do... especially Lane Bryant which is a "women's" size store. I am too small to shop at Lane Bryant, but I definitely can't wear most men's clothes because my waist is to small and my hips are too big. XD

I find that when dressing Kodona, womens' sizes tend to be...too "curvy", whereas mens' sizes tend to give a straight/uniform length to your body, making you look more boyish. It doesn't fit perfectly in the sense that it's snug in all the places, but the overall effect is good.
(but it may be because I'm not too curvy in the first place XD whereas you seem to have to perfect hourglass figure *O*)

I see what you're saying about the "too curvy" effect. However, if you're already curvy, ill fitting men's clothes have the effect of making you look frumpy and even fat. I suppose it also depends on how androgynous you're trying to be. Some of the kodona style clothes that the brands make are really quite flattering to the female figure while retaining a more masculine style. I can think of several ensembles by Metamorphose from the past that are good example. And if you're going for a more androgynous look, it's still better for many women to buy "men's cut" women's clothing. I know when I put on a men's coat it looks ridiculous, but if I wear a women's coat with the right cut I would look more androgynous because you wouldn't be distracted by how very badly the men's coat fit me. The same would go for pants really. It might be helpful to remember if you ever go trying to dress up your curvier friends in kodona. You're so lucky men's clothes look cute on you! I've always wished I could buy a cool vintage three-piece suit to wear. T__T

I think that outfit is really quite cute, and since Lane Bryant has sales a lot, maybe you can stalk the pieces and buy them on sale. ^__^

That's what I'm hoping, cause I really think it's cute. I wouldn't in any way shape or form be able to pull of androgeny... I think I'd look cute, but I'll prolly go to the store and try it on, just to be sure...

Well not all kodona looks have to be androgynous, and that is really a perfect outfit for the style. I think if you add the hat and sock and such as you were talking about it would be ridiculously cute. ^__^
