So, in the week before UCI begins school again, there have been a lot of things going on!! As part of my old freshman hall (Sierra) -- it's quite a long and drawn out story -- I had a lot of parties to go to every day of the week. And of course, I dressed up loli or casual loli or loli-inspired / influenced (I decided to pair a loli-type top with some Seven jeans that I haven't worn in forever due to an entry from
aimeekitty a couple of days ago). I also had my six months with my boyfriend and we went to Laguna Beach where lots and lots of pictures were taken. I particularly like the beach set of photos not only because of the occasion (DUH), but also because it features black and white (which are my usual loli colors -- even though I've started incorporating more color into my wardrobe -- I just never get around to posting pictures of such outfits on this community).
Anyway, here are the pics in chronological order. Be warned that some of them hint at a bit of infamous college behaviour (IE -- drinking).
So these are pics of the outfit I wore to a house party a couple of days ago.
I read
aimeekitty's entry about making loli appropriate for work with cutsews and jeans.
Well, I wore a whitish creamy long-sleeve top (it was a green top I self-bleached to white after a clothing "accident" cleaning a darkroom), a vintage light teal strapless top with cream colored lace and pearl buttons, a detachable cream and lacey soft collar I bought from
pantheria, one strand of pearls, a little light green bow in my hair that I made from loose ribbon, and my dark denim Sevens.
This is me being "Fobby Mabet." *hehe*

Yas, the girl in the above pictures, tried to take a picture of me with my boyfriend but was just too messed up to hold the camera straight.

We got someone else to do it.

This one's cute; I like it. *hehe* She gave me a little kiss. ^_^ I HAVE THE ASIAN GLOW.
Afterwards, Bobby and I tried to take better pictures of my outfit but we just ended up making stupid faces at the mirror instead. o_O

Then we had our sixth month anniversary the next day! I usually wear some form of black and white loli. So this set of pictures gives a better picture of my everyday style.
Anyway, in these pictures I'm wearing a Metamorphose top, a satin ribbon around my neck, a headdress from MTCoffinz, a black and white lacey vintage skirt (it ties in the back with a big bow but also sizes with elastic and a zipper), a white child's petticoat I bought from a tailor on Ebay (I had the waist enlarged by the seller for free so it would fit me), white XOXO knee high socks, and my favorite Steve Madden maryjanes.

Those people ended up asking me if I was Amish. o_O

I got my skirt wet here. -__-

There is a weird shadow on my hair from the bow of my headdress.

That is when my bangs started separating over the course of the day. >_<

Yeah, my bangs split apart really bad. *sigh*
For another party this week, it was raining so badly!! So I ended up dressing kind of loli-infused EGA with a black lacey cutsew (just the peterpan collar showing) underneath a puffy-sleeved polka dotted blazer with my Metamorphose tie, casual loli skirt, checkered tights, and Colors of California polka dotted rainboots. Yeah, it was a mess of different things.

And then we went to two clubs today and yesterday. Well, I wore the same thing. -__- Just a casual loli outfit with a rather plain grey top. I'm wearing "Alice Harlequin" over-the-knee socks I bought from a UK Ebay seller (they stretch REALLY BADLY, don't buy them, they hardly fit my skinnyskinnylegs), an all-black headdress from Leg Avenue (really good quality btw), my Steve Madden maryjanes AGAIN, a Bodyline skirt from one of my sets, NO PETTICOAT, and a black lace tank top underneath a grey sleeveless mock turtleneck with a necklace I constructed out of black glass beads.

You can get a better view of my headdress from the two pictures above. It's really astonishing quality coming from Leg Avenue. I wear the headdress a lot and it's still gorgeous. You can also seek the lace of the tank top I paired underneath my grey mock turtleneck. And you can even kind of see more detail in the necklace (I made it a really long time ago before I was even interested in gothic and lolita).

Um, and you have to excuse my pigeon-toed-ness. I honestlyNEVER HARDLY stand that pigeon-toed. -__- It's usually just a little bit. But this picture, it honestly makes me look stupid. Just look at the clothing will you??
Whew! That was a lot of pictures. Hope everyone enjoyed seeing the different ways I wear loli [depending on the situation, scenario, goal, whathaveyou]. Comments of almost all kinds are always appreciated!! Thank you.

Date: 2005-09-23 07:52 am (UTC)How could they think you were Amish?! You're wearing a knee-length skirt for crissakes! *giggles*
ps--You and your b/f make a super-cute couple! ^.^ ♥

Date: 2005-09-23 05:59 pm (UTC)Yeah, I was like, "no.... o_O"
And they responded by saying that "the thing on [my] head looked Amish."
Anyway, I tend to describe what I'm wearing in my outfits when I post in fashion communities because I think it helps. And it prevents most further questions surrounding the topic. ^_^
And thankies for the compliment! *blushes*

Date: 2005-09-23 06:02 pm (UTC)It's weird though, because no matter how many compliments he gets, he still hates it.
Love your icon btw.
I can't wait for Memoirs of a Geisha to come out in theatres.

Date: 2005-09-23 06:03 pm (UTC)The first one's a full circle but I love it anyway!!
And I took the ribbon out of the second one because I was afraid it was going to get snagged.
And btw, did you know that Bodyline clothes are the EASIEST to iron??
Usually, I worry about burning lace. But Bodyline is so damn durable.

*hehe*
And Colors of California are by far the best rainboot manufacturers.
Screw what everyone says about anyone else.
Definitely the best flattering fit and design.
Thanks!

Date: 2005-09-23 07:02 pm (UTC)I did the jeans and a loli top thing about a month ago when I got my first pair of jeans in years. I never wear jeans but my bf got us free jeans from Lee. How can you resist free jeans?

The whole clashy polka dots and checkers thing just sort of happened sporadically as my reaction to the crappy SoCal weather. But I like how it turned out!

Date: 2005-09-23 08:47 pm (UTC)Yes! You and your bf make an absolutely adorable couple! I Love that curly hair! My bfs hair is almost that curly...but not quite! :D
The polka dots and all make me a bit dizzy! But I just love it for the sheer...can't think of a word so just insert something here that means goodness!! :D
And that last outfit is my absolute FAV! I mean it's just perfect! So cute! And those socks are too cute! <3

I love posting pics on this community. ^_^
Glad that I got positive comments on that last outfit too.
I was being so critical with it at the time when I was coordinating it.
Gah.
