Forgive me...it seems that all I seem to do when I post is ask questions. >__< But for an upcoming Halloween outfit, I was thinking of incorporating a white leather waist cincher into a lolita outfit. Would this work or look too strange? If the former, are there any fabric stores (physical or online) that sell the material to make one? I've tried looking at Hancock Fabrics, JoAnns, Denverfabrics.com, and Walmart, but so far no luck. :/

Also, I've been thinking about cutting my hair (planned to do it around Christmas last year, but ended up chickening out); is there a sort of cut that would fit most genres of the lolita style (gothic, punk, sweet, etc.)? Because I thought about a layered cut that seems to go with a lot of punk lolita looks, but I wasn't sure if that would make my hair more difficult to style for other catagories.

And lastly, a question about this outfit that I made recently.

Sorry for the icky looking legs. >_< I'm somewhat satisifed with the outcome, but I wonder if I made the petticoat underneath too..."fluffy" for lack of a better term. I was thinking about screenprinting the skirt and tie, but maybe I should leave it as it is?

Again, I apologize for all my questions.

I don't think it's too fluffy. I think you need to pull it down 1-2 inches on your waistline. Most non-Asians aren't as high waisted, so if you go by Japanese girl pictures on where to wear the waist of your skirt, you end up looking silly.

stretchhouse.com...all the pvc/velvet/dance stretch fabric around.

You are so lucky to have your hair it looks so pretty.
I cut mine off, it was to my hips. I would say really really think about it before you do, and get the style you want.
If you use a white corset, I would say add some more black to the shirt, so that it will not blend so much.

awww~ your hair is sooo long!!! don't cut it!! ;_; it's sooo pretty! and that is a great length for loli! although it's your choice....but if you had it more punk.....I think it would be harder to style it for the other types of loli clothing.......but it depends on what style of clothes you are going to be wearing........

I'd layer it below your shoulders but leave it long. Going from uber long to short s a bit of a shock at first.
But change is good.

PS. Hime cut it, if you do cut it. Otherwise just trim up the ends to keep them in good shape. My hair is 36 inches long too, harr. XD

if you do decide to cut your hair short (i know, off topic) but would you mind donating it to locks of love ( http://www.locksoflove.org/ ) I did that when i cut a foot off my hair a while ago (the minimum to donate is 11 inches)

screenprinting sounds like a great idea and i like the amount of floof <3 floof makes me happy XD

Just trim it. Long hair is awesome. I like your outfit. {But I prefer bows to ties. I'm weird though..} It looks like School Lolita. Now I'm inspired to sew! :D

I'm not trying to convince you, but I have to say that I've had long white-blonde butt-length hair my whole life, and cutting it to just below my shoulders was the best thing I ever did. I can style it, dye it, braid it, do anything to it and it's sooo easy to take care of! I love it. :)

Please don't listen to people who say "Oh, don't cut it! It's so pretty!". Because it's your hair. Those people don't have to constantly mess with your hair so it looks good, or have it all in the way.

I had long hair for like 10 years, and cut it to shoulder length a few months ago, and I love it. I can't see your face, but long hair doesn't become most people. It is so cool though not to need like half a cup of conditioner.

That said. your hair looks cute and in good shape (ie not frizzy and split-endey) so it's just your call.

It'll grow back no matter what.
