Hello there! My name is Sadie, and I am in the process of creating a Lolita website.

Everyone is always after patterns arent they? Well so am i, but so
that i can create a database of patterns online. Then everyone will
have patterns all the time, and we can direct everyone who asks
straight to the database.

So here is how it works. You email me patterns (from Gosu Loli, GBL,
handmade GL etc) and you get handmade jewellery in return. Cool huh?
It is a bit of a lucky dip im afraid as i have so much lying around,
but its all pretty.

Hard copy sent in the post = bracelet, necklace AND a pendant

All you have to do is email me at lolitachan@..., tell me
what patterns you have and your address. Then i will OK your patterns
(so not to get doubles) and send out your jewellery. Please include a
pic of the finished product.

I've seen a goth website that just posted the makers and pattern numbers as reference. She could do that instead of the actual pattern so she wouldn't be violating any laws.

Not anymore, no, because I kept getting viruses. When I did, I'd download the songs and if I liked it enough I'd buy the legit CD.

I'm in the process of making some loli clothes from scratch for the end of october. When I'm done I'll draw out the patterns in neat and email them to you.

I'll be drafting the patterns for my own size, and my drawings will not be to scale, but I'll include all the measurements I use.

If that's all okay by you, then hopefully you should have a few patterns from me by mid to late November.

You know, if someone translated the Japanese patterns, then they'd become partly that person's own creation. I wonder if Gosu Rori would give permission. Since they're not widely available in the U.S except for online (I've bought them in a Japanese bookstore, but it's probably a lot harder to do that if you don't live in a major city), it could serve as advertising for the magazine, when people want to see something besides the patterns. I dopubt they have teams of lawyers looking for illegal distribution of [atterns on the internet, but if you want to do it and you're worried about it, it couldn't hurt to ask them...

Nadja - your idea is very good. I will write to them and ask if it would be ok. I wonder as well if i used the patterns i have altered if it would be ok - ones i have redrafted to my own specs i mean. Some patterns belong to companies dont they? BSSB always have patterns in GLB i think - maybe i should ask them.

Any and every "home made" pattern is completely welcomed :-) I don't mind when i get it at all. I will give full credit to everyone who donates a pattern too of course.

The publishers of "Gosu Rori, GLB, handmade GL" dahdahdah could care less if you photocopy their patterns and put them on your website for all to see. Especially if you are not making a profit and are just doing it for leisure, fun, whathaveyou. I photocopy and share scans all the time. Scans of pages from Fruits are available on fruits. And avant_gauche maintains a website chockfull of scans. Scans of patterns are NO DIFFERENT.

People here are massive paranoid.

:-) I'm glad some people are excited about it. I started work on the main pages today, and have typed up some of my own tutorials on:
-Bows
-Headpiece things...i forget their proper name
-Neck and wrist corsets
-Frilly socks
