I set aside a wide space in my walk-in closet to hang my three petties... But most people don't have walk-in closets, and when I move, I will no longer have the luxury either. I will be interested to see what people have to say about petti storage tips...

I'd say hang em, my favorite costume shop has tons and tons of petticoats hanging from the ceiling, looks like a big cloud of cotton candy ^-^ I can't help but wonder how they get them down though...

I just store mine in my closet with some space around it (not squished by other clothes) on a regular skirt hanger, and it stays plenty fluffy.

I store mine in the back of my closet on a skirt hanger with some room around it, I find that if it's kinda squished when I take it out, it's fine if I just shake it out, then it's fluffy!

Maybe it would be a good idea to hang it upside-down, like they tell you to do with your ballet costumes?

I don't know. I'd try clothes pins and a hanger? Maybe four or five clothes pins. *shouldn't have answered question because we all know her petticoat is laying on a basket of clean clothes so it doesn't loose its poof... really, thats the reason I never put it away.. uh huh*

Gee, thanks! And welcome. Hope it works for ya. If not you can always try the lazy girl way.. put it in a clothes basket and leave it there.. muahaha.

Most petticoats are made to re-poof with some vigorous shaking and separating of layers by hand by the nature of tulle and netting. Hand poof it and it shall poof. If it's a starched style, starch it and lay it spread out in a circle to dry or hang it upside down to dry by its inner layer and it shall pooooof.
