Alright Lolis and Gents!
After hard working of two days (yes, two days. XD), we're finally able to present our journey into GL site-dom. It's very barebone right now, but the ideas and sections presented represent the idea of where we're going. If anyone has more suggestions, feel free to let us know. Also, if anyone has anything to include, let us know that too. Don't be afraid to donate~
With that said, heres the url :
Crosses and Petticoats : A Site to Gothic and Lolita

I decided to try my hand at making leg warmers, and I think I did a pretty good job if I do say to myself. They're flared and held up by a sturdy 3/4" elastic band, and I wouldn't dream of leaving any raw edges. They could also double as arm warmers, I'm sure. So... anybody want a pair of green star print leg warmers? They're 17.5" long and would be best on small/medium legs or most arm sizes. Click here for a scan of the top of one, so you can see the pattern. The light in my room is atrocious and you couldn't really see the pattern. I'm offering them up for $7 including US shipping, and if nobody wants them today, I'm putting them on Ebay tomorrow.
Coming soon : pink flames, red leopard, hot pink leopard, and pink star print (same as above in dif. color) leg warmers!

Hihi! I haven't posted in a while....eh...gomen ne! Anyhoo, my question is about leg warmers, as they have been the choice topic as of late ^^ I was wondering what is the best fabric to make them out of. I'm thinking wovens probably, as knits stretch. What about vinyl? Would it make your legs die of heat? Mou... I have a orange shirt I'm making out of a knit fabric (ack! OT!! SORRY!!!) and I wanted leg/arm warmers to match it. Should I use the same knit fabric or put blue woven fabric accents on the shirt (was thinking of this...) and make leg/arm warmers out of the blue woven fabric? Just wondering...hmmm... As for the vinyl question, I had a pair of pleather pants that I cut into shorts and grew out of later, but I still have the bottoms of the legs. Since they're still in good condition, I was wondering it it would be a good idea to make them into leg warmers. Any suggestions? Should I fasten them with elastic as well? Or is there a better method? Blah... I've written too much... Excuse me please! >.

I posted some neat finds and sales in [livejournal.com profile] wicked_passion (the other gothic lolita community). Please check them out if you are members of the community and if you're not, feel free join and contribute! It's been awfully quiet as of late. :(

I am fiddling around with plans in my head, but does anyone around here live close to Six Flags New England or Six Flags Great Adventure?

I live in Connecticut and I'm thinking about going for Halloween this year since I'm getting a little old to be doing the trick or treating thing, and I want to dress up in full EGL, hehe.
So I was wondering if anyone lived nearby and maybe wanted to have a little get together?

Just an idea :)

Waaaa...it's been ages since I posted here. I think I'm too shy for communities. I lurk too much. ^^;

Anyway, after a couple of months of artist's block, I finally managed to finish a drawing of this design that's been stuck in my head for a while now. And as the comment says, I really, really want that purse.

Hey ladies and germs! :_P

It's college time soon, so - horror of horrors - I need to sell some things and unfortunatly this includes my ELEGANT GOTHIC LOLITA HOMEMADE!

You know the book, the one that's all in Japanese with the HUGE multipattern. This is the one they have on Jlist. I dug out my really old ebay account and stuck it up there along with some Hello Kitty / Alchemy Gothic / Bad Cat stuff if anybodies interested...

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=taped%21custom_stationary&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=50

This is an easy way to get your hand on one of the best EGL pattern books out there...
