Good day dear egl. I'm an apprentiseloli, and my first attempt at loli was made of epic and fail and sadly enough at that time I was happy and could not see what was wrong. Luckily I have since learned much, but I am still a bit insecure about my thoughts so I come here to ask your opinion. I just recently bought some treasures with me from Tokyo, lovely loliable fabrics, and now I'm trying to decide what do with them. Since I can't just go and buy sum more I want to be sure of what to make of them but I'm still a bit puzzled. Here are couple of thoughts, and I'd appreciate your opinion on wether they are smart or not.

Do these look wort wasting my fabric? )

Sorry to bother you, but I can't find a answer for this anywhere, feel free to delete this if it has been repaeated somewhere.

I would like to know what people think of mixing lolita style clothing with western fashion.

Is it allowed?
Or will I be frowned upon for doing it?

Plus I want to order the skirts a little bit below my knee line is that ok too?

I keep seeing lolita stuff and thinking that would look lovely with this t-shirt I have or that shirt would look nice with that skirt and I just want to make sure that wearing them together is allowed.

Edit: - Sorry to annoy anyone, if my post is still hard to understand I will try to edit it again, so that it makes more sense - or you could just delete it, if you like. As I think I have had my answer.

Searching for the stock photo of the Angelic Pretty trump JSK (any color). Anyone have it? (Alternately non-stock photo is fine if it's clear. I want to use it for style reference.)

I've been searching around the community and the web in general, but haven't found anything specific enough.

ps. I am fairly new to the community and this is my first time posting! Please forgive me if I've done something wrong. ^^;;

Edit: I just heard back from Celga,
cut to see their reply )

However they didn't say anything about sending a new invoice, or how much I have to pay them. do you think I should pay them the full balance and then try to get my deposit refunded, or what?

okay, about celga auctions - do they put your deposit towards your total?
because I finally got my invoice on the auction I won wednesday night, and the total is much more than expected, considering the 50% deposit they require. So either they never got my deposit, or once you've won you pay the full total and then get your deposit refunded. can someone explain this for me?

I thought they were the ones that put the deposit towards the end total (which is why i used them in the first place), but maybe that's cresent? I'm very confused.

Could someone give me information how long approximately EMS shipping takes to an European country? (I'm living in Germany)

I paid Mai on the 12th of January, but the package still hasn't arrived.
I think it's maybe the fault of the customs, but I'm not sure how the customs handle EMS (does anyone know?).

I would be grateful for any information, because I spend over 40000 yen on it and I'm really worried it might got lost >__<.

(I already asked Mai for the tracking number and the date she shipped the package, but she ignores these parts of the mails...)

I'm sorry for bothering with such a question.

I have the unfortunate joy of trying to find artists who's main 'thing' is to draw lolita. Sort of like the guy who fequently does the G&L Bible covers. I've been looking for about 2 weeks now and all I can find are people on deviantart and the likes who do it as a hobby.

Please, if you know of anything or anyone or any pictures that might help can you tell me?

Thank you

fear not everyone, this isn't one of those "zomg where are teh loli shops in japan?!" posts.

we've all read the guides, we all know where to shop and we all know ueno park is a funky place to hang out on the weekends.

i want to know what other things might interest a lolita when visiting japan. aside from the aforementioned, what should i check out? any resteraunts/attractions/whatever else that would make my frilly little heart pound with glee?

A few weeks ago I went to a dance with my boyfriend wearing casual lolita. It was a high school dance, and the populace was a bunch of sweaty teenagers. I was a bit aggravated from being pushed around while in suit of my "brandz". I felt like I could have enjoyed myself a little more if I wasn't so preoccupied with worrying about who was perspiring on my skirt.

Which leads me to ask this lovely community; do you feel like the fashion is controlling you at times, rather than you simply wearing the clothes?

the attire. one picture, but it's moderately large )
