It's a Winter Wonderland~
Feb. 10th, 2008 08:21 pm Yesterday,
_headrush_ came over to visit me~ (It was also the perfect opportunity to wear the new dress I purchased from
cherielavendre.)
I picked
_headrush_ up from the train station and we headed back towards my house, with intent to stop at my little tea-shop to get some tea she might like. (I drink heavy, black old-man-esque tea, which I know isn't everyone else's...cup of tea. *bad pun--
hellowonderland -10 XP*) The dying mall in that area was having a little snow sculpture competition, so we stopped by it after we went in and had some tea. I absolutely love the woman who owns the tea shop; she's really enthusiastic about EVERYTHING. When we walked in she goes, "What is this, a lolita convention?" in a playful manner. We were both really surprised that she knew we were wearing lolita. o_o I've never worn it in there before! Then...time for snow sculptures!

GIANT TURTLE SMACKDOWN!! (It says slow dancing, but I think it could potentially be wrestling.)

I thought this one was amazing~ There was so much detail sculpted in the snow!

Hello stereotypes! (It was still very, very pretty, though~)

I love bears~ Awwww, bears~! I thought we took a picture of another one that was penguins, 'cause
_headrush_ LOVES penguins, but I can't seem to find it!

I will be buried in this coat someday so we can be together for eternity. I love it that much.
We made it to my warm, cozy house after being out in the chilly weather to see the sculptures. We set about to baking scones and making some little sandwiches to eat with tea. It didn't take too long, and it was a lot of fun~ There was a cucumber & mint sandwich, a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich cut like a heart, and some toast triangles spread with sun-dried tomato hummus. Also, a container of delicious Polish cookies that are part cake, part jelly, and part chocolate. It went well with the black tea she chose, which had a sweet, fruity taste.

The finished product~ I drove my younger brother crazy trying to find the box with my tea set in it. I can't wait until I can have it somewhere easily accessible.
Afterwards we headed upstairs to talk and browse through brand websites and Gothic & Lolita Bible issues. We popped in Kamikaze Girls on my tiny little Hello Kitty television and prepared for a silly movie. However, we were interrupted for a short while when my very excited person called (he had bought a new, totally awesome guitar). During this time,
_headrush_ discovered my massive My Little Pony collection.

This is the
hellowonderland in her native habitat--in her room, with her teddy bear, talking to her person. All is right with the world.

Meanwhile,
_headrush_ rules over Ponyville with an iron fist and the threat of possible gang violence!
We were going to go back to the movie, but we talked about how it would be nice to take some pictures...and because we are frilly, determined lolita, we braved the chilly weather WITHOUT COATS and bribed my stepfather with scones so we could get some pictures before the sun set.
_headrush_ had just gotten an absolutely gorgeous Apple JSK from Metamorphose, so she rushed to change into it for our photos~

She looks sooooo pretty in that print. And the JSK is really lovely quality and so original and striking!

However, I'm a dork who gets tangled in things. Such is life.

And an image together! This is why it is necessary to find someone else to hold the camera for a short while, even if bribing is necessary!

_headrush_ looking beautiful, again~ She moved her hairbow, which is a barette so it can be a little difficult to find a good place for~

Whenever I look at the camera, I always look totally possessed. x_x So instead I look like a daydreamer...oh wait, that's pretty accurate.

And one where I'm not tilted like a fool~!

It takes a lot of willpower to smile and not shiver when it's this temperature outside and you're not wearing a coat~

But this is just one of the sacrifices lolitas have to make.

I am really, really terrible at taking pictures (Uncle Danae reaffirms this.), but I think this turned out really well! n_n Hooray~!
I noticed
_headrush_ had gotten a bunny pochette nearly as soon as she got in my car, since I am obsessed with my own. Hers is a girl, named Mint, and mine is a boy, named Mallow. After we got back in from taking pictures in the cold...we decided they should go on a date. <3

Mint, meet Mallow. Mallow, this is Mint.

Like a proper gentleman, Mallow took Mint to tea--and they had Moroccan Mint tea.

They got along splendidly, and were soon snuggling together and being very cute.
We never actually finished watching Kamikaze Girls, as we got too distracted with Metalocalypse, but all in all it was a ton of fun and hopefully
_headrush_ will come over again soon~ Then more silliness will ensue~!

~THE END~
