Looking for a Photo!!

I'm looking for any of the photos from the Metamorphose website of their Sailor Collection. I'm trying to have the white sailor dress (the one with short, poufed sleeves and the squared neck kerchief) commissioned for my BJD and now that I'm needing reference photos, I can't find any. T_T

If anyone has any photos they'd be willing to share, I'd be very much obliged. Moreover, if anyone is interested in a BJD outfit commission, feel free to comment with an estimated price? (I was going to post on Den of Angels with this, but I figure if I can kill two birds with one stone, why not??)

I work under the assumption that I will have a black dress from someone at somepoint. So I power forward with my other necessities.

I bought these shoes at Marshalls the other day for $10 (and convinced my boyfriend it was a good deal) but I'm not sure they'd look right. In my pristine illusion of how I want to look I'd have platform shoes, and these aren't platforms. However, they are shaped cutely and I love them either way, but I'm looking for second (and beyond) opinions. ^^

I'm asking because I've yet to paint these things black. I'll be hand painting them, which is alot of effort because I'm OCD with paint. So I'm making sure it's worth it..

Shirring

 I've been thinking of attempting shirring in a future dress I plan on making. I've seen/read a few tutorials on how to shir, but what exactly is elastic thread? Is it thread that is rubbery and can be stretched like a rubber band (sorry :X)? Or just normal thread with a little spring to it?

*edit: sorry I have another question to ask. For the rectangle shaped skirts, how much fabric must you use to get the same type of shape as Btssb or Meta's skirts? I attempted this last night, but it doesn't look quite right, not as bell-shaped/flared out as I would've liked it to. :X Thing is, I don't want to chuck it away because the fabric is really good (and efforts wasted T_T), but when I tried it with another skirt underneath (you know, sort of acting as a petticoat), the shape wasn't very nice. Any suggestions on how to rectify this?
