Midwest Tea Party?

Hello darlings :) I was wondering if any of you live in the Midwest and would be interested in a Tea Party sometime at the end of fall (that way it won't coincide with my b-day...hehe, priorities). I'd like to plan one and I've been meaning to forever, but there don't seem to be too many Lollies in the Midwest. *shakes fist at Canada and California for hogging all the lollies* Anyway, please respond to either this or write me and email if you're interested because I want to start planning ASAP and I have found some AMAZING places!!! YAY!!! This one place is called the Kitty Cat Club and it's all painfully Victorian and adorable and HUGE! Plus, they don't have much business during the day so we could have the place to ourselves! *explodes*

Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but my site has been updated a little and revamped in terms of appearance. Well, off I go to get some smokes and clean my office. *ta*

Top hats & beading lace

Awhile ago, someone had posted a link to an online doll supplier that carried those coveted miniature top hats and I can't find the entry anywhere. Also, several months ago I believe a link was posted for cheap beading lace in wholesale increments. Did anyone else bookmark that site? ;_;

I've been working on further developing that bustle skirt idea.. not to be a one trick pony but it's on my mind. *g* I think I'm on a trains and draping kick, I swear. There should be more interesting variation once I'm done with an upcoming move. But in any case...

Also a couple other things up on ebay from my renaissance festival days that could conceivably be loliable. A red "wench" bodice that would be adorable with that pirate loli look, dirt cheap, and a renaissance noble shirt that's got immense sleeves with these neat long cuffs and stand up collar and ruff. Okay folks, I've FINALLY gotten off of my lazy duff and put up the EGL Forum on my message board. As I said before when I brought up the idea, my reason for doing this is NOT to try to kill off this Live Journal community. This is a great place, but it is hard to keep conversations about the same topic going, and it can be hard to really get to know some of the people that aren't constantly vocal. So, I wanted to create a seperate little community for people to be able to chat, post about upcoming events (or ideas for them), swap ideas, mention things they are looking for or want to sell, or just general chit-chat so that we can all become better friends. My message board has always been a really nice place, and the general theme is Japanese culture and entertainment, so of course EGL fits right in.

If people come over, post messages, and there is general interest in the place, it'll stay up and running. If nobody uses it and nobody posts, then we'll see what to do from there. So, if you'd like the idea of also having a message board to chat on, please come over, register, and be active.

Anyhow, here's the link - the EGL portion (which will be easy to find, but you know) is the "Tea & Strawberry Cake" forum.
