I'm really new to this whole thing...the style, the community, etc. I was wondering if anyone can help me..I've just bought a new dress, and I'm trying to decide if it'd be better for me to wear my boots (almost knee high lace ups) or dressy high heeled shoes. The dress itself is black, with lace, and it's that wrinkly crinkly kind of cotton dress, almost sundressy, but, like I said, black. Any and all advice from those of you with more experience would be greatly appreciated. Ok, I promise to stop whining and being all long-winded now. Thanks in advance. :D

I thought I should also maybe add some pictures, they're badly taken, but it'll give you a small idea of what the dress looks like.

http://www.villagephotos.com/pubgallery.asp?id_=237416 that's the best I could do, my webcam sucks majorly.

Pin Up Girl Clothing
Am I the only one who sees huge loli potential for most of the costumes Pin Up Girl Clothing is selling? Just ignore the annoying bleach blonde models and *look* and wow. The Little Bo Peep and the Fraulein Girl in particular drip with EGL potential. And there's a vinyl french maid dress... If nothing else, they sell a short poofy little 12" long (I asked) petticoat for $16. How perfect for little mini-loli-skirts! And cheap, for petticoats...

Electrique Boutique Update
I did end up buying boots from Electrique Boutique. My order got to me exactly 9 days after I placed the order, and the boots were AMAZING... except for the fact that I neglected to realize yes, they're "knee high" boots... "knee high" on the average American woman, who is at least 4-5" taller than me! (I'm all of five feet tall.) They cover the lowest parts of my knees and dig into my thighs when I sit. They're just made for larger legs than mine, so I guess I'm going to sell them.
But the main point is that I seem to recall several of you wondering about the service and ooh-ing over all the lovely maryjanes they have for cheap. And I can now say that in my experience Electrique Boutique kicks ass.

For Sale
And lastly, I'm selling a red velvet dress I thought some of you might like.

I really need help finding EGL pictures where they are wearing other colors besides black and white. I'd like to find one in pink and white, and some with red.

Unless this is EGL enough, but I think it's not EGL its a different thing. )

If anyone can provide me with links or their own pictures please comment :D I have yahoo and AIM so if you dont have yahoo and you want to leave me your aim (cause i block) feel free ^^ thanks for the help!

I haven't seen headbands with ears yet so I thought I'd make some. These have turned out to be a lot of fun to make. I'm even selling them on Ebay if anyone wants to take a peek when they have time.

Maybe I can make you a custom headband too?

Hello everyone! Just joined this community, and while I don't consider my style completely egl, I really love particular elements and try to incorporate an egl-brand of elegance in to all my creations...

Anyway, I'm wanting to make a petticoat that I can wear underneath pretty much all my skirts that are circle or near-circle, and I can't find a good pattern. I don't want something that will be enormous stand-straight-out square-dancy type of petticoat, just something subtle and not too long (most my skirts are right above knee) to give slight added flounce to the skirts and maybe have a bit of ruffles peeking out from under the skirt's hem. Also don't want the waistband too bulky--subtlety is the key here. Any suggestions for patterns I should use, or better yet, know of anywhere that sells such things? All responses greatly appreciated!

I was surfing Yahoo!Japan and I came across this adorable EGL accessory:
