I mentioned this costume I made before... it's an Elegant Gothic Lolita Kimono! I'm thinking of selling it on eBay because I don't have any opportunities to wear it, and it seems a waste to just leave it in my cupboard... Do you think I could sell it? I'm always one for blending of styles and evolving fashion, and I was wondering what your opinions were on using non-traditional materials on lolita style dresses and things. Like perhaps vinyl on the cuffs and collar of a jacket or blouse, or buckles and bondage straps on dresses? Maybe throwing in some cyber-goth brights or a sort of post-apocolyptic rivet lolita look? I'm just playing around with some ideas here. Admittedly, I've only recently really become aware of egl as an instituted style, I've always been one to mix whatever I've worn with a sort of little girl flair.

I did a shoot a couple of weeks ago with a photographer friend of mine, Heike Schneider-Matzigkeit, where I was wearing an EGL-ish outfit. I just got a preview photo back and I thought I'd share it with you - unfortunately you can't really see the outfit in it, but you can see a cute parasol (sadly not mine - borrowed from the photographer).

Does anyone know if it's possible to actually order things from the Gothic & Lolita Bibles? If you can, how do you do it? Will they ship to the states? I REALLY want these shoes. I checked Angelic Pretty's website and their shoes page isn't up yet so I was hoping there was some way to order them directly form the bibles *crosses fingers*.
