I need some help. I would like to know the basic peices of clothing that make up the usual EGL outfit. Like the names of the style of dresses and stuff. See I'm not too down with the terminology. Thanks!

Also how come no boys ever dress up like little boys from the same period? With knickers and knee socks and stuff. Like elegant gothic chicos or something haha. I was just wondering.

*waves* Hi, I just joined! I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere in New York City (Manhattan) that sells Lolita style clothing. I'm going on a trip to Manhattan this weekend xD and I figured my drama class won't mind if I go shopping for Lolita ^^;. There is nowhere to get good stuff around where I live (not even good thrift stores x_x;) and I have very limited skills when it comes to actually making clothes. If anyone knows where to find Lolita in Manhattan (or *cough* any Jrock cds that aren't produced by companies that don't pay royalties to the jrockers >__<) i will LOVE YOU FOREVER! xD

EGL Blouse-Blazer help!

All you EGL fashionistas out there: I desperately need your help!

I bought a gorgeous black velvet blazer for my EGL outfit but now I'm stuck on what to wear underneath it! The collar is slightly different from the traditional blazer collar so I'm not sure what would look best underneath. The EGL style isn't terribly big on showing much skin on the chest and collar so I'm thinking a blouse of some sort would work. Should the blouse collar be a mock turtleneck style and should it button in the front? Would a peter-pan collar look too awkward? Should I just not worry about it at all?

Decisions, decisions, and only two days to make a blouse if I do! ::runs around frantically::

Any suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated!
