EGL Blouse-Blazer help!
Feb. 10th, 2003 04:33 pmAll you EGL fashionistas out there: I desperately need your help!
I bought a gorgeous black velvet blazer for my EGL outfit but now I'm stuck on what to wear underneath it! The collar is slightly different from the traditional blazer collar so I'm not sure what would look best underneath. The EGL style isn't terribly big on showing much skin on the chest and collar so I'm thinking a blouse of some sort would work. Should the blouse collar be a mock turtleneck style and should it button in the front? Would a peter-pan collar look too awkward? Should I just not worry about it at all?
Decisions, decisions, and only two days to make a blouse if I do! ::runs around frantically::
Any suggestions and advice are greatly appreciated!

Date: 2003-02-10 09:27 pm (UTC)1. A simple black turtleneck (it would look kind of like Malice Mizer Klaha's getup from the "beast of blood video")
2.A white turtleneck type blouse that buttons down the front maybe something with a little lace on the sides of the buttons.
Dont for get the silver cross necklace^_~

Date: 2003-02-10 09:50 pm (UTC)Higher [sort of mock turtle neck] collared victroianesque blouses are super easy to find in thrift stores if you don't have time to make one, or just to have as a back-up. I prefer cotton and it's easy to feel out amongst the satiny old-lady blouses and just kind of keep your eye peeled for that type of collar, they're generally really easy to spot between the normal dress shirts and blouses.
I just bought like 6 in various colors for work, mostly white & creme over the last week or so, really, they're not at all rare.
