Ruffle Advice?

Hi! I don't know if anyone of you make your own clothes, but a friend of mine is trying to make her first lolita and gothic lolita dresses. Anyway, she bought a whole bunch of ruffles, but is not exactly sure what to do with them (she prefers lace). The only thing I could think of was to use the ruffles on aprons and pinafores. Does anyone have any suggestions?
