Ahhh...hi all ^^;;;; I bet I'm pretty famous by now after that comic-of-anger that Jaime posted up for me...but seeing how many of the nice people I recognise from Black_Lolita and how everyone in the community seems to be a true Loli, I thought I'd like to join.

So! My name's Ravena, I like too many J-rock bands to count, and the one thing that bothers me is when people indicate that they should be "Lolier Than Anyone Else" just because they know a lot about the fashion. T_T Ai ai, I wouldn't invite someone like that to one of my teaparties...

I'm going to work on a set of icons declaring "Lolier Than Thou." Anyone want one? Just let me know!

Hi Ravena! "Lolier Than Thou" is indeed a cute little phrase. Especially when used jokingly.

However, I don't feel you thought about what you were doing when you poisted this. You didn't have that girls permission to repost her thoughts anywhere, anonymously or not, let alone in a public forum.

Now before any accusations are made of me, I haven't been following anything over on the yahoo group, nor do I have any idea who the person is who originally posted those comments. I just don't feel this behavior is appropriate anywhere.
I'd be just as appalled to see someone on EGL posting things like this over on Black_Lolita.

I'm also not trying to attack you personally, or be on your bad side, or put you on mine. I'm just pointing out that you may have gotten off on the wrong foot here and that you might want to retrace your steps so that we can all welcome you to our little side of the tea party table properly.

Forgive me, miss moderator if I'm out of line here, but I think this was pretty inappropriate, and would hate to see it continue or heaven forbid, progress. This community is relatively drama & cattiness free, and I'd love to see it stay that way.

We're all "true" lolis at heart, and that's why we all get along around here.

But I didn't intend the post to be catty at all. Au contraire, if I had wanted to be cruel I would have posted up her email address and name...I was merely posting it up as an example of the "Lolier Than Thou" attitude.

So...to avoid conflict, I offer up bat-shaped cookies and an edited post as means of apology.

I too generally dislike anyone that thinks they're better than anyone else. Especially when they also think have a right to behave that way, but then turn around and claim not to.
A healthy ego is one thing, but it's another thing entirely to just take it upon yourself to treat people like they're below you, especially over a fashion aesthetic.

It's all just a new branch of the "what is/isn't goth" argument tree. I can't tell you how exited I am that we've somehow managed to find yet another way to perpetuate THAT dispute. :rollseyes:
