Wearing my black dress. Check out my hair, one girl and I managed to curl it nicely. Unfortunately it don't show very well on this picture but it is really nice and I was very happy about my hair (very unusal of me!!) this evening. ^-^

lithia_black and I on a goth picnic last midsummer. I'm wearing my gingham dress and Lithia is wearing her striped dress.
I've found the bag in a second hand shop that I've decorated it in Angelic Pretty style with eyelet lace and strawberries.

I've made my garments myself, from scratch as I'm interested in pattern drafting and sewing. But they're inspired from the BabySSB designs, especially the gingham one.

The dresses and the bags are so cute! I would never have thought of decorating a bag like that. In the first picture, is your hair in RINGLETS? *jealous* And Lithia's hair is beautiful too! I have an obbsession with ringlets, but my hair is sooo straight I can't even get it to curl right.

Oh thank you! It was really a surprise that my hair was very easy to curl. One year before that it was like impossible to curl into ringlets as it just disappear after a few minutes. The difference is the length of my hair.. When it was impossible I had almost butt-length of hair but now I've got only bra-band length. Guess that it made the difference. and my hair is by nature mixed of curly, wavy and straight hair strands.. A real mix.. *lol* I am at least happy to get very nice hair. *lol* The first hours after the curling my hair looked like a wig from LaCroix Noire or whatever they're called, the Japanese egl wig brand.. ^-^

As far as I know the curly part of Lithia's hair is fake hair. But it is nice, yes. *nods* ^-^

Yes I make my patterns myself. It is so far much better than using a ready-made pattern, there's like no good ready-made patterns for loli wear unless you count the G&L bibles patterns...

I know what you mean! I've found a couple of patterns that I've modified for EGL dresses, but it's not quite the same... And the GLB patterns can be confusing (or just plain too small!) for us Western lolis.

Have you ever thought about making your patterns available, either for sale or online download?

Yeah. The biggest problem with the current patterns for adult sizes is that they often is too "slim", having drooped waist or too low waist in general, no figure and such. And where there's puffed sleeves and such they're just not right, either too little puffiness or in wrong style a'la square dances...
I've noticed that it requires special knowledge to draft lolita/child-esque pattern. Small details that one have to get right... :D

I've thought of selling patterns but I don't want to do so as I don't want to make the hassle of multi-sizing, trying out garments, and the most tedious part: making a legible sewing instructions to the patterns... But I'm in the work of making a page where I'll offer to make garments to people. I could sell patterns but then it is only to advanced seamstresses that do not require EXTENSIVE instructions... *lol*

And of course, the G&LB patterns are confusing! I know... :P I can't japanese and sometimes I don't know what some pieces are for so I just try out them. The sizing issue is another matter to why I don't make very much things from the patterns but I've at least made the BTSSB skirt from G&LB4, and i still use it as a base to the skirt part of my dresses. :D

On my wish list is a tailor's dummy that is resizable. I don't have any... And they're expensive! ><;;; Ok I know I spend more money on lace trims and fabric but anyway.. *lol*
