Hello!
I'm very new to loli, and currently only have one item for it. I'm hoping to get into it, however, though I feel I will probably have to make my own because I'm definitely a larger size.
What I would like to know at this point is fabric and patterns. Are the more toned down colors acceptable? I like the motifs of animals, or tea-related things. So fabric samples like the following:
http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=2cb5742a-c51f-4090-8861-54f7b742b8d8
http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=466be7f9-86e1-4ea9-bff4-16ae5e039e9b
are what I end up being attracted to. I do like the bright colors as well, so I know I can find patterns with them, but it's these more toned, greyish, or sepia stuff that I'm wondering about.
Thanks!
ETA:
This may sound like a dumb question, but does it have to have lace on it? I mean, can I make a skirt with no lace, but otherwise keep to the style? I'm not sure how I feel about lace just yet.
