Sewing Post---Patterns

I've searched through the memories and haven't found anything on this...but I was wondering has anyone ever taken a pattern like McCall's or Simplicity and used a toddler pattern?
Because it seems like there are hundreds of adorable loli dresses, but just for toddlers.
Is it possible to resize one of these patterns? I know you would have to adjust a lot of things so it's proportionate, but I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on the subject.

How amazing would this dress be in womens sizes? ♥
