I have too much time on my hands and not enough money, so I raided the craft section yesterday for some supplies to make headpieces. I already have a basic one for me that I'm happy with... these are purely meant to sell. So...
How much do you usually pay for headpieces? If you make them and sell them, how much do you usually sell them for?
My first one I plan to black out of black satin, with black lace trim, pink rosettes, and pink ribbon criss-cross lacing down it, tying on with black ribbon. Would anyone be interested in it?

Heck YES I would totally be interested! I don't know if I have the money to spare though...I don't know how much they usually cost...sorry ^^; You can try looking up other goth lolita stores and compare their prices, you know, if you haven't already done that. I don't know any offhand but I would search for some at google (www.google.com).

And if I can't afford one, I know someone who would die to have one and probably has the money. I'll let um know about you ^_^

I've seen them for $5-20, depending on where they are and what they're made of. I'd probably sell this one for $5, because it will be mostly made from supplies on hand; the only thing I bought new for this one was the rosettes.

I would say they generally sell for between $7 and $15. I have seen soem for more, but they generally don't sell as well, or they have to be very detailed.

The price of a headdress should depend on how much the materials cost, how long it takes to make and most importantly how good it looks in the end. A garden variety headdress that's been made from polyester is worth about $7-10, but a fancier headdress that has been made of cotton or of more expensive lace should sell for about $10-15. But then again, it depends on what the final product looks like, and who wants it... I think selling on eBay is usually a good measure of that.
