i saw a beautiful place today, with my fiance --- an apartment nestled in the hills, and god, i want it. i don't care what it takes --- i'll do whatever i can to get it. :) i so want to live there, with him, and move away from my neurotic mother.

so, to make more space for our new place, and also cleaning out my supremely extensive closet, i, ugh, am seling more stuff on auction. so kindly take a look, and yes, i know they are a little more expensive than usual but some of these were things i was keeping for myself . . . ! i hope some of you like these . . . there will be more that i'll put up over the next couple of days.

About your Empire waist red and black dress...
I'm about 5'2 ish, and i wanted to know if i'll look short and fat in it? :S
Also how much to ship to the UK?
I really really need to get my prom outfit soon and i love that dress! Its fabulous...

mmm, the skirt might be a little long for 5'2" (i'm 5'4") but the problem might be remedied by wearing nice st0mpy platforms or just cutting it shorter at the hem (all of the red mesh has unfinished edges). if i'm not mistaken i thought empire waist dresses elongated the body and made people look slimmer and henceforth maybe a little taller :). i don't know, really, it depends how empire dresses normally look on you. shipping to the UK, $11.

Well, i can't afford to pay more than US$50 including shipping to the UK... Do you know if i'll have to pay customs duty [tax] on the dress? If so, do you know how much approximately?

well, no, you probably won't have to pay customs duty --- i mean, i've never heard anyone refer to it and i've shipped a couple of items to the UK. that probably means no? i'm not sure, though?
however, uh . . . the reserve price is 10 dollars higher than what you can stand, so i guess there's not much i can do about that. :-/ the reserve is already half of what i paid for, so i'm still sacrificing quite a bit :-(

I hope you get the place! Does it have air conditioning? God, I wish my place did. I should have shopped around more before renting this hovel of a living space. It's hot, and it's falling apart. My landlord will not remedy either problem. I hate him lots.

ugh :{ i'm sorry you are stuck in such a miserable situation --- i lived in a motel once and i know how a sucky place can just zap up all your energy and happy smiles. :( do you use a fan, or something, then, to take care of the problem? the place i'm looking at says it has 'central air conditioning . . . ' does that count?

the bloomers are 24-26 *unstretched*,
and they're elastic so it should fit your waist fine.
and the hips are 40 inches. :)
they're lightly baggy pants. i got them from miss zoe's workplace ;)
