I have a hard time wearing a bonnet in public. I have a full bonnet and a half bonnet but I still haven't been able to bring myself to wear them in public XD
the full bonnet covers your entire head like a detached hood, a half bonnet is more like a visor or a headband with a bonnet front and doesn't cover the back of your head
She's not picking, she's correcting. If this said person have difficulties speaking english in the first place, shouldn't one correct them so they'll learn the language better? I do not see how that phrase came off rude.
But I agree with our_dying_kiss. :) It's never hard if you have the confidence. But if you don't...ehh. Then you'll have to build it up.
It wasn't meant to be rude. I didn't even know she didn't speak English. And just as ducky suggested, it'd really be worse to let it go and leave it assumed as the right way if she's learning English. It's nice of you to be concerned, though =)
If the wind gets caught under it, yes. :P Otherwise, if you've got the self-confidence to wear it and wear it well, then no. (I don't have that kind of self-confidence or wind-resistance...i'll stick with headdresses, bows, and little tophats.)
Yes... I think we can all say "oh, you can do it." But i guess you'll have to try for yourself to really know how you feel :) Plus, if you feel too awkward, you can always take it off.
if it's like a white, lacy, floppy bonnet, i think it would be kind of hard because people would be like 'baby?' but i think if it's a nice, stiff-brimmed bonnet with some flowers and things, no one will really be too confused. and as others have said its totally in how you wear yourself.
I'm sorry, but HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO POST HERE IN A DAY?! Can't you just think up all the questions you may have for the next few days and put it all into one big post? I'm sure there have been many questions and discussions on bonnets.
I'm sorry I didn't know that ask two or three questions in a day would bother people so much. I will not do that again... I just think that maybe people could share experiences with bonnets @_@ is nice to read lolita experiences since I don't know any other lolita unless me oo~ my parents hates things like that so I never ask lolita question to then and friends I have only two that don't like lolita ..and since I don't trust myself at all *yes I know it's a problem* I only have this community to ask lolita questions @_@~~ maybe I should do other things to forget all the questions I have \o\
i think she meant the fact that you're posting too many entries in a day. it clogs up the community, pushes other posts to the bottom unnecessarily, and just wastes time. i notice too, that you post a few entries every single day.
it's fine to ask questions and share experiences, but there are many questions and discussions of your interest that can be found in the memories or in the previous entries (use the LJseek tool). you're just bursting with questions of all sorts, but it doesn't make sense to post them out as soon as you think of them, right? you could think about them, then make just one post with all your questions.
maybe you'd like to look into learning to trust your instincts... we all have an innate style of our own, so listening to yourself helps ^___^v
If you don't feel confident enough, try to build up your courage. Wear some other types of headwear, like headdresses and bows until you feel comfortable enough to wear something so very eye-catching. People will stare and think you're weird, but it doesn't really matter.
