Hello all, i am looking for some pictures of children dressed in EGL, i am currently pregnant:- due to give birth any day now and i would really like to show my husband how cute including children in the fashion can be :)

Prior to pregnancy i regularly dressed in EGL and can wait to get back to it! (as you can imagine the look doesn't lend itself to pregnancy much!)

Thanks, Lauryn

Really? I had my second child, Raven Marie, less than 2 weeks ago, and was wearing lolita up until the very last week. I think its one of the most pregnancy friendy styles out there. All those cute empire waisted dresses, baby-doll style cutsews, and "A" line dresses. I guess its really how you look at it.

Allthough now I have more empire waisted lolita dresses than regular styled ones .... ^-^

I think it might be because its based around children's styles that some people might not be so comfortable looking innocent and childlike whilst pregnant.

I'm pretty sure it is Ann Geddes photo--you know that lady that dresses babies up like flowers?

The first guy is fairly attractive actually, But I'm not too sure why he's wearing a neck corset.

All the kids in there are pretty adorable, Except one little spawn. The thing in picture three is possibly the ugliest baby I've ever seen in my life and reminds me of a naked mole rat. I had to get that out of my system after seeing the picture.

wait, no....

...all babies are ugly. he's younger than 1 so he's an automatic ugly; he probably looked better 6 months from them.

I dunno, They all look ugly to me until they start developing their appendages and can walk. But I also hate babies so I may be biased. (I just find them more tolerable once they are around 3-4)

hahah thats funny. i like babies..or rather, i think they're cute (from afar) but once they turn 3-4 and start to talk etc, thats it for me. cuteness dissappears.

Really?? XD I actually think they're cuter when they start to talk. Wait, scratch that, only Asian children are--we have a lot around here and they're the sweetest things ever... I don't know what it is, but I think the white and Punjabi/Hindi kids around here are hideous. :( (I'm mean)

My icon brings the lawls. :D

UUGH, especially when they start screaming and screaming and you think they're being kidnapped or something so you start to worry but they're really just playing around and you're like STFU I was about to call the cops! D: /rant

Asian children are like mini servants! >.<
My niece will get me anything and do stuff as long as you tell her. And she's like 4.

I thought that episode of venture Brothers was hilarious! >.

Most of us are raised like that... I was pretty much the servant to all my sisters/brother (and still pretty much am when they come over =X)

Cute dresses! ^^ I'll start looking into some for my 1 month old niece soon.

LOL, I remember my little cousin started leaning how to talk and she would just say her name OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN. That damn near go Van Gogh on myself. NOT CUTE.

I hate babies, and I find them all hideous. Except for asian babies. They're adorable, short of the weird mole rat.

This isn't really much help for now, but I went to an event last night that included a fashion show from an indies brand called Vampire + Crow. They were presenting a new series called Eye Sakai that is centered around maternity and new baby gothic lolita wear. It was quite cute. Mostly empire waist dresses with generous unconstricted room in the bust as well. The baby was wearing a one piece pantsuit made from black fabric with white design. He was too little to wear too much though. They don't seem to have any photos up anywhere on their site or muc information about it at all, but I sent them an email this morning to ask about it. If I hear anything about where to find photos or anything, I'll post about it! <3<3
Good luck with the little one!

But don't you know that babies are HORRIBLE?!!!!!111?!? If enough people complain about babies, maybe you'll spontaneously re-absorb yours! :P That's why we're all wearing this fashion that makes us look like Victorian toddlers! XD

I'd suggest to look around for vintage baby-wear, particularly hand-made items. Looking back at my baby-book, I was shocked to realize just how loli most of the clothes I wore as an infant were: shirring and embroidery on the tops, Peter Pan collars, wide skirts... most of them were devoid of lace, but still very much in the style; I had a lot of older relatives who made them. (I use this as proof that I was raised to wear frills and eat cupcakes, but hey. Hee.) So you might be able to find some really good stuff in thrift stores, particularly ones catering to vintage stuff, or something. ^_^

Oh, and I didn't just mean tiny infant clothes, either -- I was wearing those dresses through the end of my photobook, about age 3. I'm 23 now, but there have to be some stores carrying such things... since kids outgrow things so quickly, and only wear their clothes for a few months.

When I brought the subject up of dressing our upcoming daughter in EGL my boyfriend looked horrified and said 'We can't treat our child like a doll!' but did conceed to maybe one or two dresses. The pictures that have come up so far are so cute! I would like to buy one or two, but we'll see.

I'm pretty sure that all mothers treat their children like dolls--- even if it's not frilly dresses, and is instead tiny designer jeans and itty bitty Burberry coats or something.
